Position Summary:      

AEG Global Partnerships is seeking a Sr Manager of Partnership Sales who is a self-starter, with Sponsorship Sales, experience who can drive sponsorship revenue to AEG’s facility arm
– ASM Global.  ASM Global is the world’s leading producer of live entertainment experiences.

The candidate should possess strong sales acumen, a track record of new business sales success and a solid understanding of the sponsorship process from call to close to activation.  The ideal candidate comes into this position with a strong network of brand and agency contacts, but also possess the ability to mine the marketplace for untapped brands looking to make an entry into the world of live event sponsorship.  The Sr.

Manager will work closely with the department’s Vice President to identify and pitch new prospects on the ASM value proposition
– scale.  While the Sr.

Manager’s role is primarily focused on finding new partners for ASM Global, the Sr.

Manager has the opportunity to grow and establish relationships with brands that fit within open categories across AEG’s larger portfolio of properties:  Sports, Music, Content and Media.    

This position is based in downtown Los Angeles at AEG’s Corporate Headquarters at L.A.

Live.

 

Essential Functions:

Work with Vice President to preform analysis, research and planning to assure that the objectives and budgets are met for each property.

Responsible for selling complex sponsorship assets that include Official Rights, Procurement/Supplier opportunities, venue signage, digital integrations, media and hospitality at various venues

Identifies and cultivates brands/marketing executives within targeted accounts/categories who make event marketing and media decisions

Plan and execute partnership and sponsorship pitch presentations and proposals to new and existing clients

Successfully addresses client concerns, questions and objections to close sponsorship deals

Negotiate sponsorship assets/deal points.  Take ownership of all processes leading up to and finalizing partnership and sponsorship deals as well as liaise with counterpart at ASM to ensure deal fulfillment

Responsible for keeping sales management apprised of progress toward established revenue goals and of the progress in closing identified prospects.

Uses department CRM system to track sales activity and client contact information

Work closely with Venue Operations and Partnership Activation Team to ensure successful execution of deal points

Host and Entertain Prospective Clients at specific AEG events

Required Qualifications:

A minimum education level of: BA/BS Degree (4-year) in a related field.       

5-7 years of related work experience

Strong natural selling skills (written and presentation), proven experience in pitch and strategic positioning, and eye for details as well as possessing excellent client management and hospitality skills.

Proven track record of negotiating with the ability to improvise, a creative thinker who can close new business.

Must have the ability to network and create relationships while working efficiently in a fast-paced sales environment.

Understanding of the presentation and proposal development process with strong PowerPoint skills.

Renowned solution selling pedigree and contacts.

Expertise in identifying opportunities, developing strategies and negotiating creative solutions.

Exemplary problem-solving, communication and presentation skills.

Ability to synergize the efforts of individuals and teams from multiple AEG business units to accomplish the goals of the company.

Must have a high degree of poise and professionalism when interacting with internal and external clients

Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); and ability to learn required business Systems.
