Sr. Investor Reporting Manager

The purpose of this role is to manage the generation of standard or custom reports summarizing business, financial, or economic data for all funds and/or portfolios within the region for review by executives, managers, clients, and other stakeholders.

Responsible for regulatory filings and track record data as required for RFPs which includes investment, financial and performance information.

Works closely with Compliance to ensure reporting integrity.

In addition, may manage and review performance calculations, consultant/client/industry questionnaires, etc.

Works with minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures the assigned funds and manager are compliant with applicable laws, regulations and interpretations governing financial statements and disclosures.

Provides track record data for RFPs.

Responsible for the accuracy of calculate performance return calculations in using the Yardi and excel.

Produces regular and ad-hoc client and internal reporting requirements.

Manages the process of creating, collecting, reviewing and publishing metrics and reports for all funds and/or portfolios within the region.

Reviews forms and reports and confers with management and users about format, distribution, and purpose and to identify problems and improvements.

Evaluates and suggests enhancements to automated procedures for financial reporting and compliance purposes.

Provides daily support and works with internal/external clients to develop reports based on requestor needs.

Adheres to internal guidelines and external client and regulatory requirements.

Provides guidance to staff regarding report(s), procedural, technical and/or operational changes.

Ensures reports are accurate and meet deadline requirements.

Maintains a working familiarity with applicable laws, regulations and interpretations governing financial statements and disclosures.

Maintains awareness of regulatory changes effecting funds.

Works on ad hoc special projects under the direction of client and/or management within the organization.

Maintains regional database of published financial information including performance calculations.

Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.

Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers.

May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance or related field; a CPA, CFA and/or MBA may be required OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum 6+ years relevant experience including minimum 2+ years’ experience in progressively responsible supervisory positions.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

CPA, CFA preferred, but not required.

Demonstrated experience & knowledge of financial issues & economic impact beyond technical knowledge.

Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles.

Ability to calculate complex figures.

Ability to conduct complex financial/business analysis including the preparation of complex reports.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents.

Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.

Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Advanced skills in Microsoft suite applications and real estate or other financial accounting software.

Thorough knowledge of computer applications related to real estate accounting or financial management systems.

Knowledge of performance calculations also desirable.

Strong work ethic and adaptable.

Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines.
