The Sr.
HR Manager will be a champion of Califia’s values, a partner to the business, and a valuable resource for Califia as a representative of the HR team.
This position will lead and perform the routine functions of the People (HR) department including administration of the company’s benefits, performance management and compensation programs, company policies and practices.
The Sr.
HR Manager will also support and maintain specialized and internal HR systems, services, and applications used throughout the organization.
As a key cross-functional team member, this position will play a critical role in development and establishment of an integrated and robust HR function that supports a high-performance, engaged, and healthy work environment.
This position is based out of the Los Angeles office of Califia Farms.
Responsibilities
  Partners with the HR team members and business team leaders to understand and execute the organization’s mission and objectives; implements human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to attracting and retaining the best talent, increasing team and individual capability, building an exceptional culture, and advancing diversity, equity and inclusion.
Provides coaching, support and guidance to team leaders and HR team members when specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigations, performance management.
Oversees and maintains optimal function of the organization’s HR information services systems, which may include data management, development, maintenance; HR team member training and guidance; custom reporting.
Supports and has an active role in the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and selection ; development of internship or outreach programs to attract diverse talent.
Understands and analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
Supports and has an active role in training, learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities.
Provide leadership and administration with delivery of company’s benefits and wellness program.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Supports accurate and timely payroll processing.
Manage Leave of Absence administration to ensure timely reporting, compliance with internal program and with all required state and federal laws.
Continually monitors and maintains Company policies and procedures, stays abreast of legal issues relating to employment and employees.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field preferred   Minimum 8+ years relevant HR experience and at least 3 years at a manager level   Knowledge of federal and state employment and labor laws   HR reporting and Analytics   Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations   Excellent verbal and written communication skills   Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills   Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills   Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate   Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality   Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software   Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems, and similar   Proficiency in using a variety of computer software applications, especially Microsoft Office Suite, Paycom   Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials; establishing priorities; and meeting deadlines   
 Preferred Qualifications:  
  Support of International teams (business units)    Human Resource Certifications a plus
