Sr. Director, Business Development + Partnerships

Westbrook Media, our digital content studio, is hiring a Director of Business Development & Partnerships who will operate as a solutions-oriented partner to new business opportunities across our brand and entertainment marketing verticals.

This role will focus on building relationships that lead to long-term business opportunities aligned with Westbrook’s growth strategy, working closely with Westbrook Studios with a streamlined approach to entertainment partners.

Westbrook Media’s Revenue Team is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and winning strategic new business, while creating a smooth integration for our new clients into the business.

The ideal candidate for this role will bring a robust client roster, while also successfully growing a new book of business from existing Company relationships & partnerships.

This role reports to the SVP, Business Development & Partnerships.

In This Role, You Will:
Oversee business development for a growing book of business, which may include working with brands and entertainment marketing clients.
Continue to build your network and foster existing client relationships remotely through creative measures.
Proactively work with the creative and marketing teams to develop big ideas and products to take it to market.
Act as a thought leader when it comes to originality and innovation with brand marketing and their ever-shifting budgets.
Act as a liaison between client and our creative, marketing and production teams to effectively scope out work in parallel to developing creative.
Identify areas to scale from a scrappy startup to world class business organization.
Manage strategic programs with brands and creators, while overseeing the marketing of those programs.
Be able to position and sell products ranging from original series, brand-funded original series, creative services, social media strategy, audio, in-show integrations and more.
Act as an in-house expert on brands integrating into IP, supporting short-form, unscripted TV, scripted TV, documentary and film.
Creatively build partnerships in and around Westbrook, effectively navigating IP, network and partner sensitivities
Qualifications/ Requirements:
7+ years in a sales / client-facing role responsible for driving revenue within the advertising, marketing, or digital marketing industry
Willingness and ability to quickly adapt to the shifting market and company’s growing capabilities
Must speak multiple “languages” of brand, creative, production and entertainment.
An understanding of unscripted original series, and preferably, experience in or around production of series/films.
Experience working on set, partnering with production and creative execs and speaking the language of production
Deep experience working with network and studio sales and partnerships teams
Ability to operate as the “beating heart” of complex deals across brands, media agencies, creative agencies, producers, talent and networks/studios.
Strong client relationships within the brand marketing and entertainment industries.
Ability to work seamlessly across talent, management, and creative.
Ability to successfully drive new deal opportunities from ideation to close with ease.
Excellent communicator who can take a client’s goals and successfully translate them to the team, and vice versa.
Ability to be a creative dealmaker and thinker; stepping outside the box and identifying new business opportunities.
Ability to embrace challenges / ambitious goals, and working together as a team to achieve the impossible.
