Sr. Business Control Specialist – Project Management Business Strategy & Intelligence team

Job Description: Client Operational Services COO, Risk and Quality Assurance is responsible for demonstrating, monitoring and managing the effectiveness and adequacy of the risk and control environment supporting Client Operational Services (COS) within Global Markets Operations (GMO).

The Business Strategy & Intelligence team within COO, Risk and Quality Assurance drives strategic execution to deliver consistent and controlled risk strategy efforts across COS.

The team also delivers the resolution of key risk challenges, partnering with COS Senior Leadership, Legal, Compliance, Technology and Audit, and often responds rapidly to ad-hoc unexpected demands, in an ever changing & high profile environment with a diverse spectrum of subject matter.

Responsibilities: As a member of the risk analysts and change managers in Business Strategy & Intelligence team, this role is responsible for: Being on point on behalf of COS for high profile Enterprise Risk Initiatives to ensure that the COS organization are helping to shape appropriate solutions and achieve optimal results Ensuring that regulatory or policy changes as well as internal/external organizational changes are managed in a controlled manner, and align to our overall risk appetite and framework Acting as the central coordinators for any cross-functional change instructed by our second and third lines of defense Ensuring that all internal COS strategy decisions are in line with our overall risk appetite Requirements: Strong and impactful communicator (both written and verbal) with all levels of management Ability to communicate and influence stakeholders to risk-based decision making & manage their expectations Risk management awareness Critical thinking, creativity, and problem solving skills Commitment to delivering operational excellence and simplification Proven experience in operations or project management Highest degree of integrity / ethical standards and sound judgment Self-starter and continuous learner with the ability to resolve, implement & drive risk initiatives to successful completion Excellent organizational and Key Prioritization skills with ability to manage multiple high risk initiatives concurrently PowerPoint/ Excel and executive level reporting skills Resilient and adaptable to change with the ability to manage variety in scope of work Team player that works collaboratively with others and can deliver on solo projects Adaptable and open to change / be an advocate for process improvement An understanding of GBAM & or COS Risk Culture Other Qualifications: Strives to bring new thoughts and ideas to teams in order to drive innovation and unique solutions Excels in working among diverse viewpoints to determine the best path forward Experience in connecting with a diverse set of Line of Business areas to understand business needs Experience with leading and coordinating Audit Issue and or Regulatory exams Commitment to challenging the status quo and promoting positive change Job Band: H5 Shift: 1st shift (United States of America) Hours Per Week: 40 Weekly Schedule: Referral Bonus Amount: 0 > Job Description: Client Operational Services COO, Risk and Quality Assurance is responsible for demonstrating, monitoring and managing the effectiveness and adequacy of the risk and control environment supporting Client Operational Services (COS) within Global Markets Operations (GMO).
