Sourcing Manager, Hardlines

Sourcing the development and production of products from initial concept through delivery, both domestically and overseas.

The team helps source the highest quality raw materials, communicates daily with vendors, and turns the designer’s vision into a tangible object.

The Sourcing team works closely with Designers, Merchants, and Planners to manage strategy and hit overall business goals.

This role reports directly to our Sr.

Sourcing Manager. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage production and developments with local and overseas vendors for our furniture, lighting and tabletop categories
  • Source and onboard new vendors as needed
  • Update current vendor manual to include hardlines
  • Attends and participates in all concept and development meetings for the brand
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners
    – design, product development, merchandising, technical design, logistics
  • Develops materials and trims with suppliers based on design and trend direction, within sourcing strategy and budget
  • Maintain and develop vendor relationships daily to ensure key partnerships for future growth
  • Work closely with partners to adhere to development calendar 
  • Work with cross functional teams on new vendor set up
  • Maintain accurate production charts and tools that are consistent with the PLM system
  • Own costing process end-to-end for products
  • Evaluate Work in Progress (WIP) report to troubleshoot production issues and ensure on time delivery of bulk goods

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years professional experience working with both large and small organizations
  • Furniture (upholstery and casegoods) experience a plus
    – both domestic and overseas
  • Brings relevant industry knowledge of network and contacts
  • A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional partners
  • Self-starter, organized, detail oriented
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel; knowledge of InDesign a bonus, PLM system
