Jonathan Simkhai is searching for a Social Media Manager.
This role plays a key role in our Digital department, helping to shape the brand voice and aesthetic of our most popular marketing channels.
The role is intended for one who cares deeply about style, fashion and pop culture.
The role requires an acute eye for powerful visuals as well as a solid understanding of the significance of data and how it can inform an effective social strategy.
By implementing strategic initiatives and engaging authentically with the Simkhai community we aim to increase our reach, build community, drive awareness, increase brand loyalty and ultimately contribute to DTC sales.
Responsible for social content conceptualization, asset management, publication, performance analytics and community engagement.
Fast paced environment.
Strong project-management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects is a must.
This position will report into and work closely with the Digital Art Director.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily social media content publication including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, and Youtube
Act as the voice of the brand, maintaining a cohesive message across channels
Be the gate keeper for all things social and maintain a strong command of the channel and industry changes at all times
Manage audience communication across channels in real time from facilitating Instagram DMs to troubleshooting urgent community management issues that arise
Capture BTS content in the atelier, at photo shoots and at relevant events on an ad hoc basis
Utilize innovative digital formats including video, GIFs, TikTok, Reelz and animation
Work closely with internal stakeholders to roll out seasonal campaigns and new products
Measure the success of each social media campaign or initiative
Distill social data into actionable insights and advocate for strong social content
Evaluate sentiment to gather insights and improve product knowledge
Qualifications:
Must have minimum 3 years social media experience and a proven track record of growing social audiences
Must have Bachelor’s degree
Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills + a passion for storytelling
Robust knowledge of social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn
Creative and thoughtful, bringing fresh ideas to the team daily, strong sense of ownership
Ability to respond quickly and spontaneously to current events and connect cultural moments to our brand
Attention to detail is critical as we maintain the highest level of quality control for all social content including consistency, accuracy, and completeness against brand standards
Proven ability to master an elevated brand voice
Knowledge of analytical tools including Google Analytics, Facebook and Instagram Insights
Ability to create strong social media graphics and content a plus (ie: Canva, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage tight deadlines and work swiftly
