Social Media Manager

Job Description: Arcadia University’s Marketing and Communications office is looking for a dynamic and energetic Social Media Manager to manage the University’s presence across all social media platforms.

This position is responsible for creating marketing strategies and best practices while continuing to innovate and research new platforms.

The ideal candidate is an independent worker who knows how to tell a story and develop relevant content across platforms, maintain purposeful dialogue, and create short-term and long-term strategies.

Curate and draft content for Arcadia’s main social media channels (University and the College of Global Studies (TCGS))-including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Youtube, and Google My Business-daily.

Monitor campaigns and performance to create campaign reports that include recommendations to improve engagement, expand our audience, and increase relevance.

Draft and create paid social media ads to support Arcadia’s marketing initiatives and communications plans.Conceptualize social media campaigns that align with and foster Arcadia University’s brand, mission, adaptive strategy, and initiatives around justice, equity, diversity and inclusion.Revise and enforce social media policies and guidelines while serving as a resource Arcadia community members can turn to for social media expertise.

Develop and maintain a social media content calendar, including major events and strategies for each academic year.

Assist with publishing and promoting University and study abroad student blogs.Monitor all University accounts and keywords to uphold Arcadia’s reputation, including informing all units and individuals involved, managing reports and updates, researching solutions, and advising on the next steps.

Identify opportunities for social media platform expansion and resource allocation.

Contribute as a member of the crisis communications team, addressing any issues that emerge across platforms.

Conduct research and professional development to grow our social media channels and find new ways to tell stories and reach community members and potential students.Contribute to the overall success of the University Marketing and Communications team by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Ability to demonstrate sensitivity and knowledge about diversity, equity, and inclusion and embrace opportunities for continued growth in cultural competence.

Qualifications:Required: Bachelor’s Degree 1-3 years experience in social media, communications, and digital marketing Experience planning and implementing campaigns on a Social Media Platform Experience writing and copyediting Experience working in Adobe Creative Suite Must be available to work occasional nights and weekends Preferred: Experience in Google Ads, Analytics, and Data Studio.

Certification in paid media is a plus.

CRM experience in Mailchimp, Salesforce, Pardot, or other marketing automation platforms is a plus.WordPress CMS experience is a plus.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
