We’ve published over 89,000 stories to date.

We specialize in publishing original stories in the form of serialized webcomics and novels.

Tapas has 3.1 million monthly unique readers, who collectively spend more than 113 million minutes per month on Tapas.

Stories on Tapas have been read over 7.2 billion times to date.

About 70% of our audience is female millennials, primarily located in the US, and the Tapas app is one of the top-grossing comics apps on iOS and Android.

Beyond being a premier open publishing platform, we also co-produce original IP with our top creators through Studio Tapas.

We then shop these properties alongside our creators to adapt them into the next hit TV series, movies, games, physical books, and more.

Our goal is to help support independent creators by providing easy to use publishing tools, sustainable forms of revenue, and connecting them with readers from all over the world.

We’re seeking to hire a Social Media Manager for our LA office, who will focus on managing all social media marketing, evolving our brand, and overall supporting our content marketing.

What you’ll do:
Own and manage social media channels including but not limited to Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn Conceptualize and design organic posts and brand campaigns to amplify our content and brand marketing Build a strong brand voice and a strong sense of community through fun, engaging content and engagement with users, creators, and ambassadors; support additional brand-marketing related initiatives including our Brand Ambassador Program and influencer marketing Track, measure, and report on campaign performance and channel growth on a regular basis, making recommendations for optimizations; increase our social media following and engagement overall Lead and manage giveaways, contests, and other engaging events on our social media Collaborate with key stakeholders to build ambitious marketing plans to effectively push our product and brand to a newer and broader audience Collaborate with the team on additional major marketing campaigns and events
What we’re looking for:
3+ years of professional social media management experience A strong understanding of digital marketing and design Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and execute multiple projects with impeccable attention to detail, as well as strong organizational and communication skills Proven track record of delivering high-quality content social media campaigns Experience in handling data analytics and delivering performance reports Experience implementing social media calendars, schedulers, tools, and templates to optimize processes You’re pop culture-savvy and stay connected to the latest trends and memes You’re a great copywriter – you’re comfortable coming up with fun IG-worthy captions and campaign copy You love consuming webcomics, animation, films, music, and overall appreciate the art of storytelling; experience working in related industries is a plus!

Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and other relevant design software Animated graphic design experience is a plus!
