The Regional Account Manager for Smart Grid Sensors is responsible for sales, business development and account penetration activities for assigned North American electric utility accounts in either the Northeast, Southeast, Northwest, Southwest or Mid-West territories of the USA and Canada.
The position represents Megger in all sales and strategic activities and acts as the conduit between the customer and the internal Megger organization. (S)he will play a lead role in developing new business and managing key utility clients to rapidly increase Meggers stake in the Smart Grid Sensor marketplace. Additionally, (s)he acts as the advocate for the clients interests and shows a personal long-term commitment to all prospects and customers.
The Regional Account Manager Smart for Grid Sensors drives account development and pushes key opportunities to closure by:
Developing strategic partnerships and establishing key relationships with appropriate utility customers key decisions makers; executives (C-Level and VP), asset management, engineering, and operations
Managing strategic account development strategy for Megger
Building solutions-based relationships by demonstrating customer value in financial, operational and/or reliability terms
Dimensions of Function: Order Intake, Sales, Profit, Account Penetration and Customer Relationship Management
Become a key member of the business development & leadership team by penetrating and increasing the companys stake in the smart grid sensor industry
Apply business acumen, experience and creativity to determine each clients specific needs
Translate the clients needs (VOC) effectively to the organization to effectively design products and services to meet the clients expectations
Set client strategy and leverage internal resources to develop comprehensive client solutions and value proposition
Develop broad revenue-producing client relationships at all levels: Operations, Engineering, Asset Management & Executive
Effectively utilize a cost/benefit model to accelerate the development of your capabilities to increase MEGGERs long-term client value proposition

Skills & Experience
5 years of account management experience in a sales hunter role
Able to build a robust pipeline of new business by formulating, developing and implementing quarterly business strategies to ensure attainment of goals and targets.
Understanding of asset condition monitoring and testing within the electrical transmission and distribution industry specifically regarding Underground Cables and Overhead Lines
Technical experience regarding power systems and evolving grid technology.
Ability to interpret VOC needs and effectively use the internal technical team to help develop target scope and derive customer value.
Experience constructing, supporting, and closing condition monitoring business deals at all levels of a customer/prospect organization.
Ability to work with C-level executives, decision makers and stakeholders to manage and control their company’s costs and improve efficiencies by delivering reliable energy solutions particularly regarding fault location, isolation, and service restoration
Demonstrated knowledge of the electrical T&D market, business practices, and culture.
Maintain a high awareness of utility needs, market trends, competitive environment, current pricing strategies and the legal/regulatory structure of deregulated energy markets
Ability to manage and deliver multi-million-dollar targets over a long sales cycle.
Be data driven and understand how to derive customer value from those metrics including asset health and risk management decisions
Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the customers organization
A well-organized and self-directed team player.
Knowledge of business systems and the sales process with excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office, SAP ERP, and C4C CRM.
B.S. in Engineering preferred; other degrees combined with direct and relevant experience will be considered
Ability to travel within your specified region (up to 75% of the time).
