Responsible for providing technical and administrative management to a group of technicians and staff engaged in conducting Polysomnographic examinations.

Responsible for projecting budgetary needs, evaluating equipment and employee performance, and ensuring the general effectiveness of services.

The Manager is responsible for assisting in monitoring and controlling the Sleep Laboratory budget, employee relationships, customer service, performance improvement, maintaining intra and interdepartmental communication and overseeing specialized accreditation.

The Manager is also responsible for organizing the work schedule, and monitoring attendance and punctuality.

Minimum Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related science (e.g.

engineering, psychology, neuroscience, health) or business.

• Master’s degree preferred in a related science field (e.g.

physiology, psychology, neuroscience) or business (e.g.

MBA, MHA, MPH).Minimum Experience/Knowledge:
• Minimum of two years in a lead sleep technician position.

Management experience preferred Required License/Certification:
• Licensed by: the state of California as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) as Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or
• Credentialed by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPGST) or American Board of Sleep Medicine as a Registered Sleep Technologist (RST).
• BLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association
• Fire and Safety Certification.

If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
