Shop Maintenance Assistant Manager

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $82k-$90k per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, in addition to a full range of generous medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors. POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position is responsible for ensuring See’s shop locations are maintained to brand expectation and supporting the annual temporary shop and Holiday Gift Center (HGC) programs. Communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, coaching, counseling vendors and employees, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing company and brand policies and procedures. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure existing See’s shop locations are maintained to brand expectation through on-site shop checks and vendor monitoring twice per month. This will include some traveling. Manage and monitor all related maintenance vendors to ensure they are performing to brand expectation and cost controlled. Locate and qualify new vendors, contractors and suppliers as necessary inside/outside Service Channel. Attend and report on ongoing shop project at our weekly Real Estate meetings. Develop and maintain tools and procedures to ensure brand expectation is maintained in See’s shops overall. Manage HVAC programs as required including obtaining quotes of replacement and repair. Maintaining Janitorial companies as required to obtain brand standards. Manage and monitor Service Channel 24/7, auditing costs, approving proposals, correctly dispatching and managing eta’s. Assist Shop Maintenance Manager with the coordination and execution of the annual temporary shop and HGC programs, including required vendor logistics. On call 24/7 365 for response to shop emergencies as required. Complete other project assignments, as required. i.e.; focused remodels, LED shop upgrades etc. Work with the dept. manager in safeguarding company assets by planning and implementing disaster recovery and back up procedures. Willingness to take on additional projects as they appear. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 5 years of experience in retail maintenance and/or construction. Proven verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated project management skills Willing and able to travel and have a vehicle (mileage reimbursement) Must have a valid California’s Driver’s License and an acceptable DMV record. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and manage change efficiently, proactively and in a positive manner.
