Service Desk Manager

Job Description Summary Be Structured Technology Group; a Los Angeles-based managed IT services (MSP) company, is looking for a new member of our Professional Services team. As a Service Desk Manger, you will directly interact with our valued clients, manage our service desk personnel, and report to the CEO. This position is well suited for a System Engineer with a background in team management, who is detail-oriented and possesses a high level of professionalism. Benefits • Excellent Medical, dental, vision, 401k, life insurance • PTO, sick days, 7 paid holidays • Educational reimbursement • Commuter benefit • Weekly breakfast, monthly lunch • Monthly team outings Responsibilities: Handle customer inquiries and complaints Provide information about the products and services Troubleshoot and resolve product issues and concerns Document and update customer records based on interactions Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the evolving products and services ​ Qualifications: Previous experience in customer service, sales, or other related fields Ability to build rapport with clients Ability to prioritize and multitask Positive and professional demeanor Excellent written and verbal communication skills Critical Soft Skills • Excellent ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms • Team player with desire for the cooperative work environment, no ‘lone wolf’ types • Cool and calm under pressure • Able to manage, prioritize multiple tasks • Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills Experiences and Pluses • At least 5 years of real-world experience • Previous MSP experience is a must • Substantial Windows system engineering experience • Solid understanding of network and TCP/IP • Azure and Office 365 experience a big plus • Powershell, or another scripting a plus • Experience with Microsoft SQL 2016 – 2019 a plus • Familiarity with Mac OS a plus • Basic Understanding of Linux/Unix Server Support a plus • Familiarity with G-Suite a plus • Understanding of licensing issues (particularly MS Server licensing) a plus Requirements Education and Certifications • College degree or equivalent experience (degree not required) • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSA 2016/2019, MCSE 2016/2019, MCITP: Server Admin, MCITP: Enterprise Admin, Cisco, A, Sonicwall, or others beneficial Employment Requirements • Fluent in English; other languages a big plus • COVID-19 Vaccination Proof • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance • Pass background check Physical Requirements / Working Environment and Conditions • Ability to maintain a high level of visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time as required by preparing and analyzing data, test results, computer hardware, software, etc. • Ability to manipulate necessary office equipment, computer software, hardware, and equipment. • Ability to perform the following physical activities, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, feeling, talking, and hearing. • Requires working in both internal and external environments subject to variation in temperature. • Physical requirements of exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up-to 25 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. • Frequent communications, occasionally for extended periods, by telephone. • Activities before and after regular business hours may be required. • Reasonable accommodations are provided as required by state and federal disability laws.We are seeking a Service Desk Manager to join our team You will be responsible for helping customers by providing product and service information and resolving technical issues.
