Mercer is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Western United States (Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Seattle):

Senior Workforce Rewards/Compensation Consultant

We will count on you to:

  • Develop compensation strategies, philosophies, and programs that address clients’ attraction and retention needs
  • Provide consulting services to senior management on a variety of remuneration issues, including competitiveness of pay, performance measurement, and governance and regulatory implications
  • Design short-term and long-term incentive programs that reinforce the clients’ strategic objectives
  • Provide consulting services on broader Human Capital issues and/or market trends
  • Recognize and identify business development/sales opportunities

What you need to have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least 10 years’ relevant work experience in human resources, business, or finance-related consulting (with specific experience in broad-based compensation) or broad-based compensation in a large corporate environment
  • Experience consulting with leading public and private companies in a variety of industries on compensation strategy development, competitive pay evaluation, pay/performance links, incentive program design (annual and long-term), equity strategy, change in control planning, mergers and acquisitions, and other issues
  • Excellent analytical, writing and presentation skills
  • Strong finance and accounting skills
  • Proven project management skills and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
