Role Objectives:
Define and lead the US sales strategy and team, to deliver on agreed objectives, in line with Moose Purpose and Values.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales leadership role
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent, is required
- Strong working knowledge of the company’s products, competitive products and the industry or market.
- In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods, as well as employee motivation techniques.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a sales leadership role.
- Track record of achieving and exceeding goals
Responsibilities:
- Drive the execution of the strategic sales plan and annual goals, and regularly monitor and report on progress as required by Senior Management.
Accounts
- Work closely with direct reports to develop and implement strategies to increase performance to customers for allocated accounts.
- Identify key issues and opportunities and develop appropriate action plans.
- Evaluate and monitor promotional activities to ensure adequate spend of promotions funds per account.
- Liaise with account managers and customers as required on pricing, promotional opportunities, sell through of product and action required if not performing, samples, maximising product performance, inventory levels, delivery/performance, timelines.
Budget
- Work with key stakeholders to set the annual budget for all accounts.
- Monitor and maintain margin requirements.
- Conduct monthly reviews of performance by customer and product.
- Negotiate trading terms and conditions with appropriate customers.
Forecasting and Planning
- Consensus forecast lead to US demand needs.
- Working with direct reports, Analytics and Demand Planning teams to manage forecast process and accuracy.
- Collaborate with VP Operations and Planning, to ensure timely and cost-effective supply, to meet retailer requirements.
Inventory Management
- Oversee the management of excess stock, material liability, FGMA, Regal inventory, and develop/action strategies to resolve.
- Authorize inventory and orders in line with strategy, budgets and forecast
- Oversee the expenditure of retail promotional spend, markdowns and return allowances in line with agreed budgets.
- Act as the internal lead to improve, maximise sales execution, and be the central point for the National team.
- Be attuned to key account initiatives and develop promotional and shipment plans that merge the goals and strategies of Moose and key retailers.
New Business Development
- Identify and evaluate new accounts / channels for the business.
- Seek new business opportunities – e.g. Product acquisitions, sales strategy behind new categories.
Field Sales Support and Execution
- Provide sales requirements, support in quoting, customer presentations, in and out of aisle planning and execution, and drive timelines internally.
Leadership and Staff Management
- Oversee the day-to-day workloads and performance of direct reports towards the achievement of agreed objectives, through the provision of clear direction, coaching and support;
- Work with direct reports to set individual KPIs, and conduct regular reviews in-line with the Moose Performance Management Program;
- Support the training and professional development of team members, with an emphasis on providing timely and constructive feedback on a regular basis;
- Regularly review resourcing requirements for the department; and
- Champion the Moose culture to enable reports to deliver on The Wow.

Work Hours:
8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Thursday
8:30am – 3:00pm, Friday
Plus, reasonable additional hours due to multiple time-zones.
Moose also provides flexible working options.
Travel
Interstate and Overseas travel required.
Salary Band
USD $300,000 – $350,000
