Senior Vice President, Head of Data Management Group

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:
Owns, leads and manages the Data Management group.

Allocates responsibilities, talent management
and providing direction.

Custodian of the Master Data Management platform.

Provide subject matter expertise over investment and other data categories.

Manage data vendor relationships, usage inquiries and audits, advises on data acquisition.

Triage enterprise data issues and advise various business units on solutions to data challenges and business processes, sourcing and distribution of data across the enterprise.

Makes timely decisions that affect enterprise change and removes obstacles toward progress.

Communicate effectively with Information Technology, provide guidance and direction to achieve desired results.

Fosters innovation at the enterprise level.

A champion of data governance.

Skilled at leading users towards the right approach to data sourcing and usage.

Provides discipline in the acquisition of data, prevents duplication of enterprise data and controls the unnecessary proliferation of data.

Provides strategic vision, demonstrates the ability to create and sell a vision, and builds consensus at the firm level with other department heads.

Work with the Head of Data to execute the road map for enterprise reporting infrastructure data initiative.

Qualifications
15-20 years of experience in data management is required.

Experience in the investment management industry middle and back office operations or related field is desired.

Accounting knowledge or experience in downstream and upstream implications to financial statements and the order management system of investment data.

Analytical.

Plans the desired consequence of code to upstream and downstream business units and processes.

Knows and appreciates the principles of data governance and architecture.

Values data integrity and has a strong background in internal controls.

SOX background is a plus.

Knowledge of trade processing and settlement operations, corporate actions.

Geneva experience is a plus.

Advanced experience in Bloomberg (APIs), advanced Excel skills, SQL skills are a plus.

Education

Bachelors degree required.
