Senior Tax Manager

TAX MANAGER SENIOR WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? This colleague will be responsible for managing the federal, state and international tax compliance processes for the Bank as well as the team supporting this function Responsibilities include the preparation of all federal, state and international income tax returns and quarterly projections with tax staff and outside consultants. Responsibilities also include the preparation of corporate income tax provision in accordance with ASU 740. Colleague will also work on special projects as related to tax accounting, tax planning, M&A and tax audits. This group records, analyzes, reports and optimizes to maintain the bank’s financial health, while following principles and legislation to ensure we’re doing what’s right. WHAT WILL YOU DO? Manage the compliance process to ensure that procedures are followed, there are sufficient internal controls and deadlines are achieved. Manage the preparation of all federal, state and international income tax filings with tax staff and outside consultants. Manage the preparation of all quarterly projections used for quarterly estimated tax payments and tax provision calculations with tax staff and outside consultants. Responsible for the review all federal, state and international tax workpapers to ensure reporting accuracy. Manage the accounting for low income housing investments, equipment leasing activities and loan activities from FDIC assisted acquisitions. Manage the preparation of income tax provision for CNB and affiliates. Responsible for training and development of tax staff. Complies fully with all Bank Operational and Credit policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Lending Practices, Code of Conduct, etc.). Completes all required training. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Must-Have Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or Accounting Minimum 7 years tax experience 2 years of supervisory experience CPA – Certified Public Accountant Skills and Knowledge Compensation Starting base salary: $111,408 – $189,738 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
