Join our Mercer Wealth team!Mercer’s Wealth practice is looking for a Senior Retirement Actuarial Consultant to join our team!What can you expect?* As part of Mercer’s Wealth business, you are responsible for supporting your client team in delivering actuarial consulting services to retirement plan sponsors of mid-size to large organizations* The Defined Benefits Actuarial Consultant is the lead consultant on small to medium size clients or a co-lead consultant on large clients.

This entails having responsibility for the Retirement Business’s client relationship and client financials* This position has final sign off on client work and should be able to sign off on both pension and OPEB valuation work* Lead client meetings and presentations and act as day to day contact for clients and is responsible for ensuring problem resolutionWhat’s in it for you?* The estimated salary range for this role is from 100K to 125K with the final salary being determined on an individual basis taking into consideration factors such as:* Candidates Experience* Candidates Education* Any additional Certifications/Credentials* In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.* We are excited to offer the following benefits to all of our colleagues:* Health and welfare benefits* Tuition assistance* 401K and other retirement savings programs* Employee assistance programs
– physical, mental and financialWhat you need to have:* Bachelor’s degree in math, actuarial science, statistics, economics, finance or related field* 5+ years pension-related work experience, preferably in a consulting environment* Successful client-relationship experience* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel* Proven project management skills* Superior analytical ability* Strong presentation skills* Society of Actuaries ASA, EA designation preferredWe will count on you to:* Support your client team on project management, day-to-day client contact, problem resolution, and supervision of analysts’ work* Calculate and analyze special retirement projects* Interact with clients by participating in meetings and presentations* Supervise one or more colleagues; conduct performance evaluations and career development discussion* Assign, direct, and evaluate work* Create project work plans and monitor timelines and budgets* Collaborate with Mercer’s Wealth Analytical services team to check and analyze actuarial valuation results, including analysis of census data, liabilities, assets and reporting, coordinating local office resources and project managementIf you are interested in submitting your application for this opportunity, click apply and follow the steps outlined on each page.
