My client is looking for a talented R&D professional that has a vast amount of experience within New Product Development, creating from starch bench-top custom formulations of powder and liquid beverages and soups, sweet and savory sauces, food flavorings and concentrates for their brand!

My client is a leading manufacture that has products that sells into major retail chains, restaurant chains and other food manufacturers with over 50 years of experience offering a wide spectrum of in-house ideation and innovation to manufacturing scale up and inventory management.

They are looking for the creative master mind to keep pushing innovation and generate top quality and delicious products!

Description
Work directly with senior company leadership to gain a deep understanding of customer requirements.

Develop new products that meet customer needs for flavor, texture, color, nutritional content and price targets as well as adhere to government and industry standards.

Create an R&D / product development process encompassing all the key steps
– from requirements to brainstorming to formulation to customer acceptance.

Assess and incorporate methods to improve aspects of foods such as chemical composition, flavor, color texture, nutritional value, and convenience.

Manage the project flow and ensure proper fulfillment of completion dates.

Foster a positive, high morale, high integrity work environment.

Products/Flavor Pallets:
Liquid, Concentrates, Powers; Sauces, Soups, Flavorings, Food Coloring & Beverages Cappuccinos, Hot Chocolates (both Liquids and Powers; Chocolate and Caramel Sauce, Fruit Purees, Sugar Syrups, Lemonades, Bar Syrups like Grenadine and Pina Colada concentrates, etc.) Soups Bases that have USDA chicken, beef or clam Flavor Pallets: Sweet and a wide variety of savory (Mexican, Asian like Soy Sauce or Teriyaki, American, BBQ, Hot Sauces, etc.) Sugar-free, Gluten-free, Low-sodium, Kosher, Organic, etc.

Profile
4+ years of New Product Development experience where ideation was done from scratch and with minimal direction!

Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or related field Someone who can work independently and cross-functionally Documented success in developing new food products that have excelled in the consumer market.
