Senior Project Manager – Water/Wastewater/Utilities

Kimley-Horn is seeking a hands-on Water/Wastewater Senior Project Manager and leader based in our office in Riverside, San Diego, Los Angeles or Orange CA.

As a Senior Project Manager, this position will help develop a vision for growth for the local water/wastewater practice and beyond.

This individual will also lead business development efforts and manage relationships with key clients.

Leadership responsibilities include business planning and strategy, building and maintaining positive client relationships, and open communication with internal partners and team members.

The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their practice.

The ideal background 

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering with PE registration in the State of California.

• 12 or more years of experience in civil engineering managing and designing water utility projects including pump stations,
• pipelines, and water/wastewater treatment facilities.

Client contacts and relationships with local municipalities, area counties, water management authorities and local, regional, and state agencies.

• Business development skills.

• Experience writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work.

• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.

• Ability to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner.

• Demonstrated ability to manage water/wastewater projects profitably
