WHAT YOU WILL DO 

Myriad Genetics is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our Digital Product team, where we focus on building software that empowers clinicians to make genetic testing a routine part of medicine. Our digital workflow solutions identify at-risk patients, offer personalized cost estimations, track test progress, guide actionable insights, and connect patients to educational resources. The ideal candidate has experience in both clinical care and product management and will lead digital education initiatives, including streamlining touchpoints with patients before and after genetic testing. The Senior Product Manager is responsible for maintaining clinical integrity across all products, so that patients and their providers have access to high-quality, engaging genomics data to inform key health decisions. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop innovative workflows that push consumer engagement with digital content upstream (preconception, healthy cancer screening), where genetic information is most actionable 
  • Reimagine and build a dynamic post-test engagement plan to help patients understand their results and adhere to medical society recommendations 
  • Streamline and scale our genetic counseling workflow so that more consumers, patients and providers can utilize their expertise 
  • Fully leverage our strategic relationships with EMR, designing native risk identification and treatment recommendation experiences 
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Genomics and Medical Services teams to maintain accuracy and integrity of content management systems 
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing to enhance education within the patient portal, and to optimize Advanced Practice Provider education initiatives 
  • Write crisp product requirements that drive technical specifications and user experience and interface designs 
  • Champion educational initiatives throughout the organization and present updates to senior management 
  • Execute closely with UX designers and software engineers through the full product cycle 
  • Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of digital education products  
  • Leverage expertise and opinions of thought leaders, experts, KOLs, and customers to understand user needs as it relates to developing content strategy 
  • Drive the overall product experience including go-to-market plans and launch initiatives 

WHO YOU ARE

  • 4+ years in product management in biotech or other life sciences industry preferred 
  • Advanced degree in genetic counseling or nursing required 
  • Work experience in life sciences, technology, healthcare, molecular diagnostics, or biotech required 
  • Experience driving products from bench science to commercialization  
  • Knowledge of biotech and genetic testing key market drivers, complex payer landscape, and healthcare revenue cycle preferred 
  • Strong presentations skills, including cross-functional leadership abilities, technical knowledge, scientific knowledge, and business acumen 
  • Ability to influence across a diverse set of stakeholders 
  • Experience identifying product and project stakeholders, strategic partners, and leading collaborative and dynamic cross-functional teams 
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing plans, and managing large scale projects to completion 
  • Success managing multiple priorities and deadlines 
  • Exceptional verbal and written skills 
  • Curiosity and drive to make genetic testing accessible
