Waterford’s Director of Strategic Partnerships will assist our efforts to be a national education nonprofit dedicated to providing high-quality educational resources to children, families, communities, and partners and deliver excellence and equity for all learners. This position will report to the department VP and build partnerships within assigned organizations that influence education decisions. The relationships you build with philanthropic, government, business, education, community, and church groups will increase adoption of Waterford Upstart program and services by families. The Senior Partnership Manager is also responsible for building relationships that could result in future partnerships that drive B2C and micro-funding organizational verticals.

Job Responsibilities Relationship Management
* Identify, nurture, and expand strategic partnerships with education influencers and decision-makers in diverse sectors
* Identify and resolve blockers to maintain relational health and collaborative momentum
* Generate leads for sales and partnership development
* Represent the brand at events and within media Market Strategy
* Identify and drive opportunities to maximize value and innovate our approach to partnerships
* Execute B2C family partnership model for the Waterford Upstart platform and product offerings
* Execute a strategy for micro-donation and micro-philanthropic support and response
* Lead data collection and report to senior leadership to demonstrate value on partnership activities
* In collaboration with marketing, product, and service delivery, define and develop a cohesive, mission-focused Waterford Partner Experience Leadership and Collaboration
* Support VP of Partnerships to lead the departments vision, objectives, and team
* Collaborate with partners, school relations team, and recruitment managers to build demand through market activities
* Apply project management practices to drive objectives forward
* Contribute to thought leadership initiatives
Recommended Skills
* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field or equivalent experience
* 5+ years of product management or product marketing leadership; proven experience in product and partner positioning and packaging
* 2+ years of sales or sales support experience
* Proven track record of developing and managing partnerships and driving/coordinating partner account activity
* Strong analytical, sales funnel, and marketing skills preferred with the ability to influence
* Experience in Salesforce or equivalent CRM
* Background in Atlassian suite and other collaboration tools
* Experience with Salsa or other Advocacy and Fundraising Software
* Sound business judgment; can focus on what’s important, synthesize complex information simply, and extract key insights
* Self-starter that is able to travel and execute objectives in a remote working situation
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; can craft clear requirements and expertly connect with technical and non-technical audiences
* Strong grasp of education and philanthropic market and value drivers, as well as adjacent spaces
* High EQ; understands partner motivations, can influence across audiences, and can hold key partners accountable
* 20% Travel Required
