** This role is currently remote but will be based in Calabasas once they return to business as usual.
THE ROLE (Nail, Hair, Professional Categories)
Mission: Trade Marketing is a “commercial department”, embedded in the brands, whose top line mission is to:
Commercializes brand’s strategies and plans to set them up for success at our customers.
Translates plans into selling tools for sales teams.
Helps the sales teams anticipate and manage customer objections to our plans.
Defines brands’ commercial strategy (Sales Fundamentals, Product/Channel portfolio roles) Be the voice TO the markets and OF the markets
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Brings customers’ insights internally and makes sure they are incorporated in brand’s strategies and plans Is the market and customers’ expert.
Knows the market trends, our customers’ strategic priorities and what our plans need to win with them Partners closely with the Sales and the internal teams (Global Teams, Marketing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Finance) to drive the right go-to-market strategy and plans that fit both with brand’s and our customers’ objectives.
Is the customers’ gate-keeper of all innovation, ensuring it is fit for use in the local market and set up for success.
Ensures that the Sales/Customer planning and timings are incorporated in the company’s planning process.
Develops and deploys the Portfolio growth selling story to sell our strategy to our customers and align it with them.
Develops and deploys ready-to-sell stories and materials that translate brand’s strategies and plans and enable the sales teams to sell effectively, with special focus on Top customers.
Defines clear, specific and competitive assortment, merchandising, pricing and shelving strategies and guidelines for his/her brands that enable our brands to grow market share.
Owns the national promotional calendar and co-owns the customer specific promotional calendar for their brands.
Influence the brand’s activation to make sure it is being translated in store and at top customers Initiatives and Base Business Leader and process owner responsible for all Sales Deployments Create and own the distribution footprint and white space opportunities Additional tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Marketing or similar discipline) Experience of 3+ years in trade marketing, channel marketing or sales in the beauty industry Food/Drug/Mass or Specialty Beauty experience Ability to work well under pressure with strong ability to multi-task Highly detailed with strong organizational skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Proficient computer knowledge: Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
