Where Youll Fit Within The Team

The Senior Manager, Social Media is strategic and highly creative leader with a strong appetite for data-driven experimentation.

They will develop top-tier social media marketing strategies across established and emerging platforms, relying on deep collaboration with marketing colleagues and constituents throughout the firm.

The ideal candidate will have experience using social media to strategically build and enhance brands on a global scale.

Reporting to the Director of Employer Brand, they will lead a team of two social media specialists in developing robust strategies that promote engagement – with a focus on creating highly shareable content that is creative, attention-getting and on-brand.

What Youll Do

  • Design robust, creative social media campaigns across key channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook) to support major corporate initiatives and announcements.
  • Collaborate with constituents across the firm, advising on social media strategies to deliver on business objectives.
  • Develop and execute against a proactive, strategic year-round social media calendar.
  • Collaborate deeply with video, creative services, marketing and PR colleagues to continually raise the bar on delivering engaging, on-brand social content.
  • Ensure flawless, on-brand execution of all content that is published on Bain social media channels.
  • Lead the strategy around social media analytics, including engagement data and campaign KPIs – with a focus on leveraging data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the primary owner of the firm’s social media governance policies, providing thoughtful and proactive iteration as the social media landscape continues to evolve.
  • Eagerly consume the newest social media platforms, capabilities and trends, providing proactive counsel to marketing leadership on best practices to continually raise the bar.

About You

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience building and executing innovative social media strategies to enhance brand awareness – ideally at a global scale.
  • An appetite for big ideas, out-of-the-box thinking and data-driven experimentation.
  • Experience developing content strategy for LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Snap and Tik Tok.
  • A strong curiosity for leveraging emerging social platforms such as Clubhouse, Twitter Spaces and others.
  • Deep experience driving all aspects of social media strategy: developing campaigns in support of business objectives and audiences; producing creative content across traditional and emerging channels; working within content management platforms; and leading social media analytics.
  • A communicative, empathetic manager who is enthusiastic about mentoring a team of two social media specialists – with a focus on continued growth and development.
  • Experience maintaining collaborative, strategic partnerships with video, creative services, marketing and PR colleagues.
  • A strong presenter and effective communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
