As a Senior Manager of R&D in our Irvine facility, you will own the work of engineers and technicians to specify, develop and verify sophisticated designs involving medical instrumentation and disposables.
The scope of this position will expand from a hardware focus initially to both hardware and software. The incumbent will collaborate across several functions in a geographically dispersed, multi-site organization. This position requires a self-starter comfortable operating in a highly matrixed organization to achieve overall business goals. You will report directly to the Executive Director, R&D.
This position is located in the Irvine facility. Some work can be done remote, but the position is mostly on site with some travel required (~10% both domestic and international). Relocation will be offered!

What you’ll be doing
- Technical and personnel management of multi-functional, individual contributors
What you’ll bring
- 10+ years of new product development experience
- 5+ years medical device and/or disposables experience
- 3+ years managerial/supervisory experience; strong leadership ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven results in delivery of new products to the marketplace
- Mechanical engineering background highly preferred
