Senior Manager, Learning & Development

The Senior Manager, Learning & Development s a pivotal learning and development role that will support the People Operations and Retail teams by evaluating, designing, updating, and implementing training programs for employees of all levels at Parachute Home.

Along with having a customer centric mindset, the ideal candidate will be able to fully understand our brand, product, culture, and client base to strategize and implement effective training programs across the organization as we continue to scale.

This role will have frequent field visits and travel when needed. 

What you will do:

  • Create data driven learning and development strategies that will support Retail goals and drive business impact
  • Facilitate impactful and meaningful training both in person and through eLearning.

    You will support training in areas including, but not limited to: DE&I, hiring/interviewing training, compliance, safety, product, customer service, and leadership.   

  • Enhance individual and team performance by creating a culture of continuous learning in support of the organization’s strategic initiatives in partnership with the Director of Retail, HR, and Customer Experience
  • Develop a full understanding of Retail operations to fully assess gaps and training opportunities
  • Facilitate new store opening training with new team members and lead trainers
  • Support the design, development and delivery of training & onboarding programs for operations and leadership team
  • Support quarterly succession planning meetings by contributing team and leadership insight   
  • Conduct needs assessments/surveys to identify training opportunities & ROI
  • Continuously identify, improve, and standardize processes to support company growth and expansion
  • Partner with operation leaders frequently to support training efforts in the field
  • Own our internal training platforms (15Five, Lessonly) and implement any other training resources and platforms as needed

Who you are: 

  • Proven track record in building, implementing, and leading successful training programs
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
  • Ability to create training materials, programs, and experiences that help employees feel engaged, supported, and excited to be at Parachute Home
  • Comfortable working with and utilizing various data points to show successes and any areas of improvement
  • Strong understanding of learning & development methodologies
  • Advanced interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively, and represent the brand across all levels in the business

What you will need: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, learning and development, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience leading learning and development or instructional design programs for a retail ecommerce business
  • Strong project management and presentation skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite and GSuite
  • Understanding of various LMS platforms 
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
