Senior Manager / Director, Commercial Field Learning and Development – Remote

Reporting to the Executive Director, Global Leadership/Learning and Organizational Development, the Senior Manager / Director of Commercial Field Learning and Development – Seres-109 is a newly created role which will have tremendous impact in the effort of bringing Seres/Aimmune’s first microbiome, to market for patients with CDI.

The Senior Manager /Director, Commercial Field Learning and Development – Seres-109 will, develop, design, and implement the strategy for all aspects of pre and post launch learning and development activities including, but not limited to; field sales training materials for launch, managed markets development, reimbursement preparation, hospital selling, and all aspects of education related to a new area for treating CDI.

They will focus on ensuring the successful launch of Seres-109. 

The Aimmune Field Learning and Development – Seres-109 function will use Business Acumen, Instructional Design, previous new product launch experience, knowledge on how to train clinical content (educating physicians, nurses, hospital and office staff) and sales knowledge.

The candidate will have field sales experience (both inpatient and outpatient), market access / reimbursement experience, experience and hospital experience to successfully develop the learning and development strategy for the commercial, and possibly hospital teams.

The Commercial Field Learning and Development – Seres-109 function will work closely with Marketing, Commercial Field, Market access (DSA Team), Human Resources, and Medical/Legal/Regulatory/Compliance to design, build, and implement training programs to support the commercial field, hospital, management and market access teams.

This is a virtual position but will require candidate to potentially travel at least 50%

Specific Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement the Aimmune Therapeutics Commercial Seres-109 launch education curriculum, including product launch meeting, manager meetings, FRM/DSA meetings and ongoing skills training for post launch activities as well as Pre-Launch Collaboration with appropriate departments

• Vendor negotiation, RFP submission, PRC/MRL submission and editing, and all facets of launch readiness

• Update training programs and curricula as necessary, based on performance metrics and needs assessments

• Ability to develop Hospital as well as field-based learning, with strong understanding of inpatient and outpatient medication

• Ensure that all training initiatives and programs are fully supported and documented within compliance standards

• Serve as a role model for behavior that is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the organization and Aimmune Therapeutics

• Attend major medical meetings, as well as training development meetings like LTEN

• Facilitating the consistent application of helping our Field Team sell to and educate the entire office and hospital staff (RN, Office managers, Clinical Coordinators, etc.) by developing effective training programs

• Serving as a coach and strategic partner to Seres business leaders and employees on key learning and development initiatives to support the business needs

• Assists Executive Leadership Team working groups on key organizational initiatives and projects as needed

• Work with stakeholders to set market access, reimbursement, coding and other product access related learning objectives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in education with a background in life sciences or management

• Experience leading successful new product launch from inception (vendor mgmt., RFP creation, PRC/MRL submission, etc.),

• GI, ID and/or Anti-Infective experience a plus

• Experience with inpatient and outpatient setting and has experience training on products that have a “transition of care” from Hospital to Home

• RN, BSN or other clinical degree a plus

• MSIT, ID, eLearning development, MBA or other master’s degree a plus

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a commercial trainer

• Active membership in LTEN and/or ATD preferred

• Prior sales/training management/leadership experience recommended

• Demonstrated ability to build new product launch programs from the ground up same as bullet 2

• Demonstrated excellence in pulling through all aspects of training post training events

• Strong aptitude of training technologies and their optimal uses

• Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Ability to work independently and on a team; positive, team-focused approach is essential

• Demonstrated success in taking problems and creating solutions without direct oversite

• Computer aptitude with appropriate software programs, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat is required (advanced experience in learning development software i.e.

Articulate/Storyline, Captivate, and Advanced PowerPoint skills a plus)

• Proven leadership skills/high level of accountability stated in others above

• Exceptional negotiation, facilitation, presentation, and decision-making skills

• Travel required for meetings, product training development, and field visits (approx.

50% travel) this is stated in the description, not a qualification
