The BOS team leads Strategy and Operational Excellence for Yahoo’s Business Organization (Y4B) which includes Sales, Product, B2B marketing, and the BOS team, across Ads and Search.The BOS team partners with the Y4B leaders to steer the organization towards customer-obsessed strategy; scalable operations aligned with strategic priorities; clear portfolio and program governance, ownership and decision making; business insights and analytics; ad product operations, automation and enabling systems; and developing our talent.The Sr Manager supports the Chief Business Officer (CBO) to move forward the Y4B vision to drive ONE cohesive Y4B leadership team strategy, culture and operations that sets the standards and example for the entire organization.You will be an exceptional operator, critical thinker and will also have a proven track record of bringing ideas to life. You must be comfortable influencing and interfacing with various stakeholders at all levels and across functions. You will be based in LA, CA, or New York, NY. Some travel required to meet with key stakeholders.Responsibilities:Business Rhythm and Cohesion:In collaboration with CBO and other leads, drive the continued cohesion of the Y4B Leadership teamEvolve and plan the business rhythm of the Y4B organization through annual business cycle, leadership team meeting cadences, and key business events like quarterly offsites, All Hands.Set all Y4B team meeting/ events goals and agenda and run the meetings. Proactively identify opportunities, challenges and evolution of communication and event plans to align with team/business goalsWork closely with the lead on Internal Y4B team events, to develop event/ meeting strategyFacilitate all meeting & event content preparation: compile content, ensure presenters and participants are prepared in advance (content, analysis, etc.), summarize key takeaways and ensure they are followed-up onImplement meetings best practices across the organizationManage meeting follow ups – ensure POCs/ responsibilities are understood, communicate with the relevant BOS support peers in each group, summarize and provide constant and clear communication of status and results to VP, CBO and other relevant stakeholders; facilitate resolutions and/or escalation to VP and CBOCBO/ Y4B materialsResponsible for all materials from the Chief Business Officer, in collaboration with internal teams as appropriate – decks, executive briefings and summaries, Y4B decks for events like offsites and All Hands, etc.Coordinate and author key communication activities such as weekly comms, upcoming PR news, internal announcements/emails, reminders, etc.. Provide guidance and sync with Biz Ops leads on CBO- and CEO level comms (i.e., LBLF).Act as the central connector and liaison between CBO/Y4B and relevant internal partners / corporate offices for Yahoo-level events, leadership forums, corporate comms (staff meetings, open house, Yahoo comms, etc)Drive the internal comms rollouts of appropriate materials to the organization, to ensure clarity on strategy, priorities, OKRs etc.People initiatives/ Employee Engagement:Partner closely with HR/Talent and Y4B leadership to forward the People-related initiatives across Y4B. Collaborate on design, rollout, communication, etc. and incorporate as part of Business Rhythm.Support and promote employee engagement activities that recognize/reward/enrich the organization (i.e., YoAchievers) for the Y4B orgRelentlessly promote the Y4B people initiatives, sharing of best practices across the org and from external best practices. Always look for ways to emphasize priority and support execution of such initiatives with the Y4B leadership team and partners.Budget, operations, and HC management:Drive budget planning and monitoring for Chief Business Officer (CBO)Oversee headcount – process, touch points, connection points and conflict resolution across all groups. Work closely with relevant groups including Finance, HRBP, and other BOS POCs to coordinate annual resource needs and plansApprove HC reqs for CBOManage non-HC budget (e.g. consulting, training, events, T&E)Oversee P&L overall (incl. T&E, cost centers, etc.) once it is centrally planned / distributedShepherd Y4B vendor/legal contracts & invoices through internal processes to update, ensure approval, payment, etc.Ensure compliance and facilitate auditsManage all other ad hoc or newly defined CBO needsManage Ad hoc projects as neededWork closely with the other BOS support POCs across Y4B Organization, and collectively drive to customer-centricity, scale, sharing and visibility, best in class approaches to operational excellenceAlways stay up to date on the strategy and plans/ priorities for the Y4B Organization and Yahoo overall; be the ambassador and advocate across peers, leaders, and team members, across YahooQualifications:Min 7 years experience in corporate strategy, consulting, operations management, and/or business development or equivalentVery strong organization skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple work streams without sacrificing qualityTrack record working on high-priority, cross-functional initiatives; working in complex organizations to align multiple levels of stakeholders. Experience running leadership meetings/ agendas/ eventsStrategic thinking and strong operator – stepping back from the day-to-day to see the bigger picture but quickly identify downstream ops needsExcellent ability to listen, understand, and translate senior leadership needs, scope projects accordingly, negotiate objectives and deliverables, and activate the organization to deliver resultsExcellent written and verbal communication capability across all levels, including the c-suiteStrong quantitative and analytical capability.
