About The Managed Care Team Our team of managed care attorneys represents many of the country’s largest health insurers, as well as scores of state and regional plans, HMOs, vendors to health insurers, pharmacy benefit managers (PBM), and countless other industry-related organizations .

Position Summary The Senior Knowledge Development Manager for the Managed Care team (Managed Care KDM) will work with representatives of the Firm’s Managed Care team to deliver knowledge products relevant to the group and its clients.
This is the first such position for the group.
The role will involve determining the products to deliver, coordinating and project managing progress, as well as promoting success.
This is an exciting opportunity to build a new KM function within a thriving global law firm.
The Managed Care KDM will have extensive support from our existing Knowledge Management team in building this new function.
The Successful Candidate Will Essential Functions Develop a knowledge-specific strategy for Managed Care, in line with the overall strategy of the group.
The aim of the KM strategy will be to enhance the quality of the client product and the efficiency of delivery, as well as design and deliver client services leveraging the Firm’s award-winning technology offering.
Design and deliver knowledge tools to Managed Care lawyers and clients such as model forms and associated guidance, databases of relevant information and automation of documents and processes.
Review existing client offerings, identify, and design new knowledge-related products to market to clients.
Identify and implement efficiencies in working practices.
Project manage the development and deployment of internal and client solutions.
Communicate with partners and associates and raise the profile of knowledge management and its capabilities.
Identify topics of interest to the market, draft or support others to draft briefing papers and thought leadership pieces, to promote the team’s external profile.
Create an environment and infrastructure where knowledge can be easily shared within the Managed Care team.
Requirements Education: Hold a JD or have extensive experience in a law firm setting.
Experience: Have experience of managing disputes.
Experience in managed care, health care, or insurance would be beneficial but not essential.
Skills Be passionate about the ability of technology to enhance the way we work and deliver innovative legal services to clients.
Experience in delivering legal tech solutions is preferred.
Have proven project management skills from idea development to product delivery.
Have experience managing a team.
Be a self-starter, with the ability to drive ownership of projects and run them with minimum supervision, but with the confidence to seek support where necessary.
Be able to use their technical skills and sector understanding to assist in knowledge development, product development and client support.
Have excellent communications skills and the ability to explain complex technological concepts in simple, straightforward way.
Have the gravitas to win the respect of partners, associates, and client contacts, and be able to establish a rapport with legal staff at all levels within the firm.
Have the enthusiasm to encourage and share new ideas and approaches and be creative in identifying ways in which we can leverage our knowledge for the benefit of the business and our clients.
Be commercial, practical and ready to use knowledge and innovation to help the Managed Care team to deliver efficient legal services and solutions to its clients.
Be familiar with using legal research and document management tools (including LexisNexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg, Relativity, and iManage) .
