The Role

The Senior Director, Snap Programming will play a key role in executing Jellysmack’s editorial vision on the Snap Platform.

Your primary duties will be to work with Jellysmack’s programming team to optimize a portfolio of existing Snap shows, guide a team in the production of multiple original video and Creator Snap series, develop and oversee production workflows and schedules, build and meet publishing deadlines, and work with coordinating staff.

You will be a key driver of success of Jellysmack’s large and diverse portfolio of Snap shows.

This position will be responsible for supporting the Jellysmack Programming team, with a focus on Snapchat.

The Senior Manager, Snap Programming will lead in the creative decisions, management, execution, and performance analysis of our content on Snapchat.

This person will help drive creative decisions, using new data-based strategies.

They will focus on platform success, while ensuring content meets quality standards.

They will report to the Los Angeles-based Head of Strategic Partnerships & West Coast Operations, United States.

They will play an extremely critical role in the publication of content on the Snap platform.

The Responsibilities
Oversee an existing portfolio of over 35+ Snap shows
Collaborate with editorial colleagues and management to develop and pitch original series
Continually assess performance and work with producers, content strategists and internal editors to provide notes and constantly optimize content performance
Work with Snap on key content related initiatives
Represent the programming team in numerous cross-divisional meetings to develop processes, strategy and data analysis of show performance
Lead the onboarding process for new Snap shows
Develop shows with leading Jellysmack Creators
Analyze data to provide insights and custom programming strategies
Communicate effectively with partners and internal teams to find timely solutions to resolve issues and challenges
Requirements

The Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
7+ years of creative production experience, with a majority managing a portfolio of successful Snap shows
Must have producer/Executive producer multiple Snap shows and have contacts at Snap
Extensive knowledge of Snap Studio and Snap Analytics
Deep knowledge of content trends on Snap, show formats, copywriting and creative storytelling
Comfort working with data, and distilling insights to influence creative decisions and performance
Excellent communication and team skills
Highly motivated self-starter who is able to work independently, as well as collaboratively, in a team environment
Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once, while paying strict attention to detail
Passionate about the digital ecosystem and familiar with top-tier influencers
