ABOUT THIS ROLE:
Shared Value Media (SVM) is looking for a Senior Director of Strategic Growth to join our bi-coastal team in either New York City or LA.

This individual should be passionate about working with local community partners to affect change.

S/he/they has strong experience in building and cultivating strategic partnerships to support growth, has played a leadership role in new business development activities, is familiar with the government procurement process, and understands the value of relationship-building.

This person is a problem solver and great teammate who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

In this job, the candidate will be asked to play a leadership role in helping to develop and manage SVM’s growth strategy.

As part of these responsibilities, s/he/they will be asked to identify and foster relationships with a wide network of complimentary NY and CA agencies and organizations, source both government and foundation RFP opportunities, help lead the RFP response process, audit and strengthen SVM’s go-to-market positioning, and build and monitor a pipeline tracking process.
SVM has more than doubled our growth in the past two years.

We are looking to onboard an innovative thinker and leader who can help collaboratively build systems to ensure our growth continues.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 
Joining the executive team to help drive the national new business development strategy, focused on agency partnership and government procurement Developing a strategic process for prioritizing government and foundation RFP opportunities Leading SVM’s RFP response process, often requiring collaboration among multiple agency partners Auditing and strengthening SVM’s new business collateral and positioning Assuming ownership of the systems and processes that ensure trackable accountability to growth goals  Helping to maintain a humble, empathetic, and entrepreneurial culture at SVM Working hard, teaching generously, learning enthusiastically, and enjoying both the product and impact of your work
IDEAL CANDIDATE
10+ years of relevant work experience in strategic communications or marketing Experience strategizing and sourcing new business, preferably government contracts Strong familiarity and relationships with marketing agencies and potentially government agencies in NYS and CA  You have a team of former colleagues who would happily vouch for your leadership, empathy, and team-oriented approach to the work  You have proven success in helping to develop and lead a company’s growth plan You have proven success in maintaining and growing strategic alliances You are a strong writer with exceptional organizational skills You take pride in your work, have a strong sense of accountability, and strive for outcomes  You have experience working with a variety of stakeholders, including government, agency, nonprofit, and foundation entities

Salary: $125,000/yr with a 15% commission on new business secured

*expected salary $200,000 with commission year one

Hourly Expectation: 40 hrs/week

Compensation and Benefits
