This role will be a member of the Sensorex Board; therefore, joining forces daily with Operations, Sales & Marketing and Finance, and is expected to significantly contribute to the vision and direction of the company.
This role will help accelerate the technology transformation of the Company and in partnership with the rest of the Board and our external technology partners to deliver on revenue growth from new opportunities.
The Director/Senior Director of Engineering must have comprehensive and deep knowledge of contemporary sensor technologies and a proven track record of successfully managing a fast-paced innovation teams. This executive will develop and own the company innovation agenda and accelerate brining new products and most advanced manufacturing automation, including robotic solutions, forward to support our accelerated business growth.
Deep knowledge of relevant technologies, strong program execution rigor, building a strong R&D team and fully leveraging internal and external resources are major requirements for this position.
This role directs and coordinates all R&D resources in a manner that aligns with our core Sensorex values Performance, Quality, Respect and Teamwork, while demonstrating Accountability/Ownership, Continuous Improvement, Customer Satisfaction and Uncompromised Trust & Integrity.
This role will lead a team of 7 direct reports.
Required Competencies:
Strategic mindset with an ability to alternate between strategic and tactical roles.
Deep knowledge of water sensor technology and industry is a major requirement for this position Ability to apply practical technical solutions to complex technical issues/question to rapidly address our OEM customer needs Business and financial acumen with the ability to apply it to the vision and strategy of the technology organization Experience in creating scalable engineering functions leveraging both internal and external technical resources Highly customer focused with a track record of working closely with customers to successfully launch new products Demonstrated success in scoping, driving and executing R&D projects including utilizing internal and external resources Ability to effectively present ideas and influence across the organization Passion for continuous improvement and internal and external customer satisfaction Proven coaching and leadership skills Sense of urgency and commitment to deadlines Partners with 3rd parties in the development of solutions, technologies and platforms and not being constrained by Sensorex internal resources Establishing a clear set of priorities for R&D NPI and Sustaining programs and balancing between NPI and sustaining projects while forming a strong partnership with our manufacturing teams in USA and Czech Republic.
B.S./M.S./Ph.D.
in Engineering with 10+ years of Technology Management experience; Masters degree and/or PhD is desirable Exceptional verbal communication skills Positive and enthusiastic
