Your Mission at BMG

Your mission at BMG is to create, implement and drive multi-phase domestic and international marketing plans for artists in rock, alternative, and pop for the record label (in collaboration with other senior executives).

The ability to manage overall execution of project timelines by setting and adhering to project deadlines is essential in the success of our release campaigns.

Your Profile
You have an interest in marketing at a record label.

You have familiarity with a variety of music genres and digital audio file formats.

You are comfortable working in a team and are a self-starter.

Your time management skills allow you to meet deadlines easily.

You have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to track and follow through on multiple concurrent projects to completion.

What You’ll Be Doing
Create the initial plan and update artist’s team of progress, primary communicator of project information to all departments.

Oversee all aspects of marketing plans including Social Media, Streaming, Publicity, Radio, Advertising, etc..

to ensure project visibility is maximized and marketing plan is fully executed.

Act as primary communication liaison between artists, management, and distributors to coordinate label timelines and objectives in conjunction with artist’s management timelines (touring, album releases, book releases, press hits, etc.) Participation in understanding analytics and how that applies to a successful project.

Ability to create and manage marketing budgets and stay within the approved amounts.

Track and process all project-related invoices.

Find appropriate marketing partners to participate in each release.

Arrange touring ticket requests for artist performances with management and venues.

Provide on-site label support at performances and events, as needed.

Oversee marketing tool creation and delivery of tools in a timely fashion.

Drive collection of assets to supply chain department to ensure production deadlines are met Provide weekly data updates for the artist/managers.

Coordinate communication and asset flow with our Synch Creative team to maximize pitch opportunities.

Work and brainstorm with digital marketing department to drive artists’ creative online strategies.

Must-Haves
7 years marketing experience in entertainment field, preferably in music.

Self-motivated with a strong desire to collaborate.

Music fan with extreme knowledge of the current Alternative/Rock/Pop landscape.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Desire to discover and educate company on new marketing technologies.

Must be organized and able to manage many projects and in real time.

Strong knowledge of Outlook, Photoshop, Keynote, and other marketing software.

Ability to understand the sensitivity of secure, unreleased music.

Understanding of digital and physical music distribution.
