Senior Director, Corporate Sales Marketing

This position will lead the Cedar Rapids Ball Club Inc., which is comprised of Cedar Rapids Kernels, Waterloo Bucks, Kernels Concessions, and the Kernels Foundation, corporate sales, and marketing efforts.

Will ensure the organization achieves its revenue targets and create and execute effective marketing campaigns.

Corporate Sales Cultivating and prospecting new corporate sales partnerships for the Cedar Rapids Kernels and Waterloo Bucks.

Responsible for achieving individual corporate sales revenue targets.

Lead corporate sales teams by providing leadership and coaching while assisting in creating effective sales solutions.

Responsible for ensuring the organization’s corporate sale targets are attained.

Conducted weekly sales meetings to go over goals, objectives, struggles, and accomplishments.

Collaborate with operations, ticket sales, and entertainment departments to assure that all aspects of our corporate partnerships are being executed as promised.

Corporate Marketing Supervise Marketing & Entertainment Manager.

Responsible for developing a marketing plan that results in the Cedar Rapids Kernels and Waterloo Bucks achieving annual attendance targets.

Research and create the Kernels and Waterloo Bucks marketing plans to incorporate its objectives and lead the direction for where our marketing efforts should go to achieve the best results.

Execute the marketing plan by creating relationships with local media sales executives.

Develop and implement a campaign of print, television, digital advertising, e-mail newsletter, social media, internet, and radio advertising that would convey our message to our fans.

Direct all creative efforts for print materials used to promote the team including promotional signage in the ballpark, and print advertisements in local publications and schedules.

Collaborate with the group sales and corporate sales teams to promote our upcoming events, theme nights, and sponsored promotions through our marketing efforts.

GAME DAY Ensure that all sponsorships are being performed and fulfilled as promised by the sales team Oversee the collection of proof of performance photos and document sponsorship elements Oversee the On-field and Press Box entertainment operations.

Develop and execute the Waterloo Bucks group sales plan.

Lead Waterloo Bucks interns in selling and coordinating group outings.

Ensure Waterloo Bucks group outings are going off successfully during their games Provide first-class customer service to our fans MISC.

Maintain Normal business Hours 9-5 M-F During season game day 9 am through the game.

Non-game day during season 9-5 Expected to attend all Kernels home games Will be asked to attend Waterloo Bucks games as needed as part of the team Expect to work all special events Other duties as deemed necessary REQUIREMENTS 4-year college degree 10 years of proven success leading a sales & marketing team Fluent in Microsoft Office programs Excellent verbal and written communication skills Detail oriented with strong problem-solving ability Ability to coach and manage others Ability to work in an athletic sports environment and willing to put in the extended hours it takes including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
