The Sr.
Director of Business and Contract Analytics will lead a team and oversee business analytics and assessments for the development and implementation of strategic pricing and contracting approaches for Jazz Pharmaceutical’s in-line and pipeline product portfolios.
Business units include Hematology/Oncology, Sleep and Epilepsy/Movement Disorders.
This role requires a deep understanding of traditional and innovative approaches to pricing, contracting and reimbursement across retail, specialty, and buy and bill.
In addition, the role requires in-depth knowledge and experience with operating regulations in commercial and government segments across payer and practice settings.
Advanced management skills germane to the US pharmaceutical and biopharma pricing, contracting and reimbursement environment as well as the ability to influence colleagues through a consultative process are essential.
The leader in this role will demonstrate executive-level experience managing analytic, pricing and contracting dynamics, a strong aptitude for hypothesis-driven analytics and outstanding problem-solving skills.
Previous experience leading an Analytics function within the Pharma or Bio Pharma industry preferred.
This role requires a seasoned pharmaceutical industry veteran with deep expertise across competitive and orphan spaces with experience in the market dynamics for Biotech and Pharma.
It will require a leader that is accomplished in data-driven forecasting and evaluation/modeling of pricing strategies and contracting approaches subject to current and future health care reimbursement practices/regulatory constraints.
The role must demonstrate a leadership approach that is evidence-based and employs pragmatic and collaborative problem-solving skills.

Essential Functions Lead collaborative cross function initiatives together with the Head, Pricing and Contracting Strategy, to develop Pricing and Contracting Strategy for pipeline, in-line products and assets being evaluated for acquisition by overseeing financial model and market access forecasting development required to inform strategy Provide vision, direction and management for the development of Market Access plan level contributions models and methods with Forecasting and the Market Access Team.
Develop strategic vision and engage internal and external parties to inform the development of the market access forecast.
Provide leadership and oversee the financial evaluation and assessment of healthcare policy and reimbursement landscape changes for near and long-term impact to Jazz portfolio.
Lead and coach the team to provide contracting financial modelling and analysis development, business assessments and post deal analysis for all Commercial and Government contracts for Jazz products.
Collaborate with cross functional leaders for the development and implementation of plan level contracting strategy for the Jazz product portfolio for 2021 and beyond.
Provide leadership and vision for the development of methodology and execution for GTN development for launch products, GTN modeling methodology for potential future products (NPP & BD) and support GTN strategic assessments as required for in-line products.
Provide strategic direction and department management for the development of contract financial modelling and assessment for contracting opportunity requirements, i.e.
GPO, IDN, and other value-based contract offerings Inform and provide guidance for pricing and contracting governance, approval, and communication to executive/ senior leadership for Pricing and Contract Review Committee decision-making Attract, develop and retain a team of high performing contracting and market access forecasting professionals to meet departmental and corporate objectives.
Lead and develop the Pricing and Contract Business Analytics Team, assign projects, evaluate performance and ensure all contracting and pricing activities are compliant Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 15 years of progressive experience in Commercial or Market Access within the pharmaceutical and/or biopharmaceuticals industry (i.e., including specialty drug classes) Prior leadership roles in pricing, contracting/reimbursement, analytics and forecasting development including brand planning and market share forecast development Strong analytical, problem solving and business skills; with the ability to communicate effectively with senior management
– proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint Strong problem-solving skills, including the knowledge of source data (e.g., Symphony, IQVIA, EMR) with the ability to research complex policy issues and lead quantitative analyses In-depth knowledge of health care pricing, contracting and reimbursement practices and regulatory requirements.
Requires new product launch experience and/or involvement in the expansion of analytical capabilities within the Commercial or Market access discipline.
Advanced knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Marketplace, VA, DoD, 340B and Commercial programs and payer policies including knowledge of Government price calculations and compliance regulations Ability to work in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment including managing multiple projects with on time and budget completion.
Demonstrated ability to process complex information and summarize it concisely in writing and/or verbally in a professional manner and in a time sensitive environment as required Excellent leadership skills to work across functions with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to gain consensus and drive results Ability to foster a culture of compliance ensuring adherence to all compliance policies Prior experience developing and measuring value-based contracts a plus Required/Preferred Education and Licenses College Graduate-Bachelor’s Degree minimum with MBA a plus
