What You Bring:

  • Deep understanding of the regulated and deregulated North American Energy & Utilities (E&U) Market
  • Expertise in leading business process improvement initiatives focused on meter-to-cash, device management, work management and next generation meter capabilities
  • Ability to understand and develop the business and technical requirements of your customer
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP IS-U / SAP for Utilities to develop and deliver best-practice business solutions
  • Chemistry to lead multi-cultural teams and work effectively with business, application, technology, and vendor resources.

Must-have:

  • Understanding of Energy & Utilities regulations, authority, and operations models
  • 10+ years of overall business process, IT and/or SAP experience in Energy & Utilities (electric, gas, water, waste & environmental)
  • 7+ years of SAP IS-U / SAP for Utilities experience such as Technical Master Data Exchange, Meter Reading Processes, Upload and Processing of Interval Data, Disconnection and Reconnection, External Profile Calculation, Event Management, Text Messaging, integration with Financial and Contract Accounting (FICA), Front office, CRM, Device Management, and non-SAP point solutions.
  • Completed at least two full project cycles, preferably with team lead responsibility
  • Experience with Advanced Metering Infrastructure and non-AMI, direct and indirect Metering Device Management System (MDMS) integrations
  • Exposure to ITRON, Landis & Gyr, Aclara, Kamstrup, Neptune, Badger, Mueller, Sensus, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Siemens, ABB or other leading solutions (electric, water, gas).
  • Ability to support business development, sales, and the bid process

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with SAP IS-U, SAP S/4 HANA for Utilities and/or SAP Cloud for Utilities
  • Experience with public, cloud, and hybrid platforms as well as technology and application modernization and migrations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Energy & Utilities trends
  • Actively engaged in the Energy & Utilities industry or E&U relevant IT associations

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or an E&U related field is required; master’s degree a plus
  • Agile, project management, SDLC, ITSM or change management certifications a plus
