Senior Account Manager, Superconductor Wire Products

Overview: Reporting to the VP of Global Sales & Business Development, the Senior Account Manager
– Superconductor Wire Products is an integral member of Bruker’s customer facing team.

He/she will support the VP Global Sales & Business Development in managing existing major Bruker OST accounts globally and will be responsible for a portfolio of key accounts for Bruker’s conductors manufactured in both the Carteret, New Jersey and Hanau, Germany factories.

The candidate will also closely coordinate with Bruker’s sales offices in Germany and China to leverage broader technical and commercial strength to maximize account sales.

Responsibilities: Essential Functions:Ensure timely order placement, on-time order fulfilment and revenue generation.Weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting of customer trends, including sales, orders and contractual updates, as well as reporting of account performance and ad-hoc projects associated with new customers.Serves as key contact for customers from customer inquiry through to shipping, ensuring customers are aware of delivery performance against forecast.Primary interface at the Carteret, New Jersey factory between Business Development and Operations, Quality, and Logistics to ensure that all aspects of complex orders are clearly understood and meet customers’ requirements.Responsible for the generation of quotations and management of cost models.Management of open bid responses to drive market success.Co-ownership (with colleagues from Germany) of Bruker Energy & Supercon Technologies (BEST) website content, including regular updates and appropriate marketing campaigns.Responsible for regular updating of customer pricing and adherence to commercial terms.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Finance, or Business; plus a minimum of 10 years of experience.Strong commercial sense.

Experience from sales, marketing, applications, or technical service is required.High level of competence in SAP sales module.High level of competence in common Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Good communication and presentation skills
– able to present clearly and in a logical manner.Good understanding of industrial, academic and research customer’s workflow, application, research needs, working practice and/or purchase process.Ability to create and leverage a network of influential people within the organizations of our customers.Ability to operate within a virtual team and influence outcomes from people not within line management control.Entrepreneurial mindset, excellent team player and ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of organization.Working experience in multi-national companies desired; German language skills would be a bonus.Ability to travel nationally and internationally approximately 10% of the time.Bruker is a federal contractor and subject to Executive Order 14042.
