The Role As SEC Fund Compliance Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day oversight of ARAs compliance obligations related to its investment activities under the Advisers Act, ERISA, state privacy laws, OFAC and any other applicable laws or regulations as well as those related to ARAs policies and procedures. Essential Functions Review and approve for compliance all materials to be distributed to potential investors and others, including responses to requests for proposal, due diligence questionnaires, client presentation materials, quarterly and other reporting materials, advertising, social media, website, and any other marketing related collateral. Assist with maintaining appropriate records based on ARAs recordkeeping policies and procedures. Assist with regulatory filings, including updates to the firms Form ADV and Form PF and each funds Form D. Assist with responses to any periodic SEC audits as well as participate in the preparation of firm documents and resources to ensure constant readiness for such an audit. Assist with the annual surprise custody audit required pursuant to the Advisers Act. Monitor activities for compliance with the firms OFAC program. Assist with the firms GIPS reporting and related compliance matters. Ensure that necessary compliance reviews are conducted related to the firms valuation practices and asset allocations and that proper records are kept. Assist with the annual ERISA 408(b)(2) disclosures and other ERISA matters. Proactively communicate with portfolio managers, asset managers, accounting, investor relations, and other firm departments as required, to ensure compliance requirements are met. This role is based in ARAs downtown Los Angeles office, and candidates will be expected to be Southern California residents and commute to the office. Candidate Qualifications Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills Undergraduate Degree required. J.D. is helpful but not required. A minimum of three (3) years of experience involving compliance matters relating to a registered investment advisers under the Advisers Act. Knowledge of ERISA, OFAC, and state privacy laws is helpful but not required. Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate recommendations in a clear and concise manner. Able to manage multiple tasks and maintain control and order over same. Must be detailed oriented and able to prioritize tasks, projects, and assignments to ensure that all projects are in completed in a timely manner.
