SUGARED + BRONZED was founded by Courtney Claghorn, with the idea that hair

removal and spray tanning shouldn?t be services found at the bottom of a long spa menu,

done in the back of a salon, performed by a ?specialist? who is expected to specialize in a

laundry list of beauty treatments. She felt as though sugaring was not only an all-natural

alternative to waxing, but also the perfect complement to the sunless spray (and safest way

to avoid UV-rays). Her vision was to bring the two popular services side by side, creating a

uniquely synergistic space. We look for people that are passionate about making others

feel flawless®.

Position Overview

Our Shop Directors are the heart of the client experience through daily guest interaction, thorough staff training, and excellent service. They find passion in the continual training and development of their Team Members- and ensure each and every client leaves with a smile on their face. Shop Directors balance inventory management, scheduling, and all other administrative duties with Team Member feedback, development, and training to create a warm environment for both Team Members and clients.

Core Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicating and executing new operational initiatives in your shop
  • Interviewing + hiring new Team Members to S+B standards
  • Responsible for shop level utilization- monitoring demand + labor trends and staffing accordingly
  • Developing + providing feedback to all Team Members to further growth and build a talent bench in your shop
  • Creating weekly staff schedule
  • Maintaining + ordering inventory
  • Creating a warm, fun + friendly environment for all Team Members + clients alike
  • Meeting company (and State Board) standards on store cleanliness, organization
  • Working shifts alongside Team Members by spraying or sugaring clients (depending on your designated service)
  • Participating in, providing feedback and sharing wins on our weekly management call

What You?ve Got

  • A passion for the beauty industry (esthetics/cosmo experience preferred, but not required)

  • Prior Management experience in a retail or salon environment
