Sales Manager

The function of this position is to lead the Sales effort and ensure the Estimating and Project Management is provided. This is achieved by providing the required sales, design, project management, drafting, and estimating services needed, efficiently, within the quality standards and on schedule.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage and influence the Sales Management process
  • Establish and clearly communicate Sales Management quality standards and guidelines. Ensure that all completed work is consistent and meets the quality standards, regulatory and industry codes and satisfies clients’ expectations.
  • Plan, schedule, coordinate and control all Sales activities
  • Assign and prioritize the workload to optimize productivity and meet the budget profit goal, deadlines and quality goals.
  • Maintain the Sales Pipeline report to maximize the effectiveness of the Sales department. Follow jobs daily based on the Titan Backlog Report and the 13-week Production Schedule.
  • Develop and perform sales presentations to Engineering firms, Architects and Municipalities and Trade Shows. These presentations, whether in person or online form the core of our sales opportunity generation system.
  • Closely monitor Sales costs and schedule adherence and immediately resolve significant disparities. Ensure that production personnel maintain tight control over their time per project and promptly report all schedule deviations. Review daily Job Cost Reports with the General Manager.
  • Provide timely estimates and proposal support for the Sales team so they can meet their sales and closing ratio goals.
  • Provide timely Sales support to the General Manager so projects meet the budget schedule and both the clients and installers are satisfied with the technical support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Sales Manager must:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Drafting, or Project Management or related field.
  • Minimum 5-years of professional sales or project management experience.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
  • Have working knowledge and experience with a P&L (Profit and Loss) report & Cost/Benefit Analyses.
  • Calculate figures and amounts (i.e., discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.).
  • Utilize Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
