Sales Consultant, Protection1

I. Job Purpose and Job Duties

This position is responsible for managing sales processes for KARL STORZ PROTECTION1® Services in a given region. On a daily basis this position works with KARL STORZ Region Sales and Territory Managers to maintain and develop new opportunities for service contracts and developing service solutions.

II. Job Duties

  • Negotiating/selling service agreements (PROTECTION1® CSAs, FLEXPack Agreements, Onsite Endoscopic Specialists, and other Custom Service Agreements) externally with customers and internally with legal and financial staff
  • Monitoring service sales so that the area quota is achieved
  • Understand, monitor, and utilize the Guardian platform for service activity in the area
  • Working with management in developing new service offerings designed to meet customers’ needs
  • Consulting with customers to resolve service issues and other special projects. Interacts heavily with Sales Directors, KARL STORZ Financial Services, Region Sales on combining service offerings with new product sales as well as Service Territory Managers on OES agreements
  • Interaction with healthcare systems occurs frequently in designing service-related offerings and promotions for GPO’s and IDN’s
  • Supports account management through monitoring of service sales across member hospitals
  • Cross function work occurs with internal department managers in the development of new promotions for services/ products.
  • Independently, and with the support of the various sales teams (Core, Emerging, Health Care Systems, KARL STORZ Capital), call on key accounts to promote all PROTECTION1® services, inclusive of new and renewal opportunities
  • Track and monitor key account PROTECTION1® Agreements to ensure that all are performing according to expected parameters and renewed prior to expiration.
  • Develop custom pricing designed to maximize return on investment through thorough analysis
  • Maximize the use of company resources used in securing new and maintaining existing business
  • Plan and conduct quarterly business review meetings with the sales team for the assigned area
  • Plan and conduct annual business review meetings with key customers
  • May assist in Associate Sales Consultant employee development
  • Represent the PROTECTION1® Enterprise Service Team for public speaking/training opportunities as needed

II. Minimum Knowledge, Education and Skill Requirements

Required

        • A minimum education level of a bachelor’s degree strongly preferred or relevant experience in sales of service, contracts, or similar duties; Technical/Engineering fields or advanced degree a plus
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in selling repair services or equivalent required
  • Experience with reading data, data analysis, and reporting
  • Possess exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required

Preferred

  • Experience within the KS organization
  • Experience with Guardian preferred
