The Safety Supervisor is an active member of the division leadership team responsible for leading and coordinating the Health and Safety programs for the division. This includes taking a lead role in plant-wide culture building, safety management, training, audits, and community outreach. This position is responsible for interacting with all teammates to ensure understanding of and compliance with federal and state safety regulations. This position develops and provides applicable training, monitors and reports key regulatory requirements, and participates in safety initiatives. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three years of leadership experience
  • Three years of industrial experience
  • Active involvement in your divisions safety culture and programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Safety degree or certification
  • Occupational safety experience in an industrial setting
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, including industrial hygiene and testing
  • Ability and willingness to obtain OSHA 501 certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
