The Space RF Hardware Program Design Manager* Manage technical aspects of Critical Design Review to ensure balance and consistency.
Understand risk areas, where risk is both real and perceived; as well as anticipate consultant hot buttons and pre-emptively nullify* Manage logistics of Critical Design Review preparation both technical & logistical.
Lead the review of documents and presentations for markings, consistency, and protection of proprietary data for Raytheon and suppliers* Achieve hardware design program objectives on schedule, and consistent with quality and technical standards while meeting the program cost targets* Provide consistent leadership messaging that is aligned to program review strategies* Provide feedback to program leadership if/when there is a more optimal way to do things in a timely manner* Willing to get hands dirty and pitch in where help is needed* Knowing when to seek help* Plan, coordinate, and communicate with the cross-functional team responsible for delivering an RF system, subsystems, products, and services.* Work alongside the Chief Engineer and other product team leads to manage the Critical Design Review activities.Required Skills:* 12 plus years of experience in RF Electronics development including leadership roles with an emphasis on electronics architecture, development, and verification of space hardware for Class A missions* The candidate will lead teams focused on design, development, and delivery of state-of-the-art RF and communication systems for space-based applications for commercial, civil and/or national security programs* They will work with a highly-motivated team that works with domestic or international customers on their latest satellite systems* Be part of an engineering team that works with a large cross-functional groups including customers, suppliers, hardware and software engineers, integration and test engineers, and senior technologists to ensure that the final products meet the mission objectives* Demonstrated success on space system electronics development programs* Experience with industry standard electrical engineering CAE (computer-aided-engineering) tools* Experience with worst case analysis for space electronics* Familiarity with radiation effect mitigation and architectures for space electronics systems* Demonstrated experience interfacing with all levels of Program Leadership, Supply Chain, Operations, and Production Control* Hands on experience managing both people and projects successfully* Strong knowledge and proficiency of EVMS, IMS, & IMP tools for managing programs* Proven legacy for leading engineering team to meet or exceed program goals* Strong written and oral communication skills* Strong presentation and facilitation skills* Strong judgment and decision-making abilities* Prior experience in defense or aerospace* Able to effectively work multiple tasks and priorities* Strong advocate for process improvement (e.G.
CMMI and R6s) and able to develop plans to demonstrate continuous improvement in out of-phase defects,* Ability to drive reduction in development costs, and reduction in productivity variability using statistical methodologies* US Citizenship, and active U.S.
