In this role you will be responsible to supports business in translating strategies into local strategic actions and in identifying local input to global strategies, in General Industry
– Robotics & Discrete Automation in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Reporting to the Global Key Account Manager
– General Industry, you will support business by deriving insights and in preparing concise communication material.
This position is graded as global grade 13.
Your responsibilities Contributes to strategy definition and execution through the analysis and identification of new markets, segments and/or solutions Develops good understanding of respective local markets, competitive environments and ABB position Works with business to identify and prioritize new business opportunities in line with global strategic priorities, based on good understanding of local situation and global business strategies Supports realization of prioritized opportunities Assists in the definition of partnership agreements or joint ventures/collaboration efforts Collaborates with all related internal contacts to ensure alignment, efficiency and effectiveness in the implementation of the respective local business strategy Your background Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Engineering or Business, and minimum 3 years of experience in the field of business development, business analytics, marketing, marketing intelligence, sales/ support sales.
A Masters Degree Credit given for 2 years of work experience Open to travel about 40%
– customers’ visit, trade shows, etc.
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USA.
Preferred Qualification: experience with business analysis, market trends, business development, especially in the Automation industry, Ideally with experience in Salesforce.com, SAP, and Power BI, besides Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Should be able to create and execute presentations for the customers and also for the Robotics Sales team.
