If you are a Sales professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you within our Branson Ultrasonics business The Segment Sales Manager is responsible for driving orders growth of the dynamic Energy Storage segment across the West region, reporting to the West Regional Sales Manager. The Energy Storage segment consists of Battery, Solar and ESS. To be successful, the Segment Sales Manager must be committed to driving orders growth by actively prospecting and converting leads, acquiring new customers, working collaboratively in a matrixed environment, and possess (or willing to develop) subject matter expertise in the Energy Storage segment. AS A SEGMENT SALES MANAGER, YOU WILL: Drive orders growth within the defined region for the Energy Storage segment, working alongside the territory sales team Ensure we capture above-market growth with an intense focus on prospecting, acquiring new customers, and supporting territory sales with segment expertise – applications, technology, target accounts, etc. Lead prospector for assigned segment – generate, pursue, and convert leads Manage lead and opportunity funnel for new accounts within the segment, casting a wide net and driving the conversion rate Develop & execute customer seminars, train territory sales teams on segment related initiatives (e.g. new applications, value-selling, etc.), and regularly stay abreast & in-front of segment trends Maintain existing customer base with a high level of satisfaction, expand potential at current customers and capture new business through prospecting & target accounts Displace competition at target accounts and grow market participation Proactively expand application knowledge and share regularly within your team – leveraging wins and examples from other regions/countries REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or the equivalent training Minimum of 2 years’ experience in business, preferably in a business-to-business sales environment and in the industrial/manufacturing market Technical knowledge in electrical or mechanical industries Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $95,000 – $115,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to this role.
