Renewable Energy Operations Manager

Renewable Energy Operations Manager – Property Management will assist the VP of Property Management (Infrastructure) and Renewable Energy Operations Staff with day-to-day management duties including but not limited to development support; investment diligence; operational management and planning; reporting and compliance; and site inspections to renewable energy, energy storage and transmission infrastructure assets.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* Conduct regular site visits and site inspections at under construction and operational project sites located in the Central Valley, California.* Support the development and investment teams with project development, specifications, design, contracting, diligence, and underwriting activities.* Evaluate the actual and weather adjusted performance of operational projects compared to modeled expectations. Evaluate and track project performance issues. Recommend methods for optimizing project performance.* Complete monthly and annual operational reporting to management, investors, lenders, and other project stakeholders.* Ensure project meter data is managed and submitted in accordance with metering plans and protocols. Complete monthly invoicing and renewable energy credit transfers to off-takers and customers based on energy, capacity and renewable products generated.* Mange contract negotiations and contract compliance with various contractors, operators, consultants, and vendors. Manage and track any claims, notices, and warranty events through resolution.* Prepare operational expenditure budgets for both operational projects and projects under development. Track actual expenses vs. forecasted and budgeted amounts. Report on the cause of any budgeting variances.* Review project documents and develop, maintain, and track schedules for deliverables, compliance, notice, and reporting activities required for project operations. Manage regulatory approvals, reporting, and compliance activities with entities such as local, state, and federal agencies; utilities; balancing authorities; renewable energy credit agencies; etc.* Manage project documentation including but not limited to project files, notices, reports, work orders, invoices, regulatory documentation, etc.* Ensure project operations are complaint with industry standards, guidelines, best practices, and internal policies.* Perform other related duties as required.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:* Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline required. Advanced degree preferred.* At least three (3) years of prior work experience in a field related to renewable energy, energy storage, electrical infrastructure and/or asset management.
