I further attest that all information I submit in my employment application is true to the best of my knowledge.Job DescriptionUnder the direction of the Associate Director of Engineering, lead a team of Reliability Engineers tasked with improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the Maintenance & Reliability of Production and Utilities Equipment at Takeda’s Los Angeles Facility.Responsible for improving the reliability of equipment, utilities, critical systems, and maintenance processes by applying the principles of Reliability Centered Maintenance. Apply Root Cause Analysis methodologies to improve equipment that support manufacturing operations in a dynamic, fast-paced cGMP, biotechnology environment. Measure reliability performance and demonstrate success of improvements. Support capital projects as needed. This position will provide technical support to the manufacturing and maintenance functions for the operation of the equipment and processes. Mentor, guide and develop the team’s technical and non-technical skills.Duties:Manage, identify, hire, and develop the team of Reliability EngineersDevelop the maintenance strategy, plans, SOPs, parts lists, BOMs and frequencies for new and modified equipment.Define group objectives in alignment with local Engineering Leadership and Global Engineering teams.Responsible for preparing budget, overall spending in Reliability Engineering cost center and meeting forecasts.Perform the review, improvement and update of Maintenance SOPs, Parts Lists, BOMs and CMMS data integrity for existing equipmentInteract with Global Reliability Engineering team to build standards across the network and provide input to Divisional Procedures.Perform regular reviews with Reliability Engineering Staff to ensure personnel performance and development.Review and approve Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) improvement projects assigned to the team, Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) reports.Participate in internal and external regulatory audits, including FDA,EMEA and OSHATrack and routinely present group performance objectives to Senior ManagementSupport, review, assess and counsel engineering project teams regarding all areas of maintenance impact, such as, layout, design for maintainability, component standardization and spare parts/ material optimization.Drive the implementation of predictive maintenance across the facilityMay assist in the preparation of and/or participation in technical reviews of equipment design projects.May be assigned change control, Quality CAPA and Safety CAPA tasksParticipates with Operations to development and improve Equipment Reliability, Preventive/Predictive Maintenance, and CMMS Data Collection and OperationQualifications:Extensive experience with cGMP and current best practices for asset management including, Preventive Maintenance, Reliability Engineering, RCM, FMEA etc.Understanding industrial hazards and Process Safety Management and Mechanical Integrity Program principles is a requirement.Must possess knowledge of the core engineering principles: heat transfer, mass transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
