JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for management of the sales team in a designated area(s) within a division (may be for entire division, depending on size and volume). Position priorities include achieving sales results while ensuring all company’s processes are followed and customer service standards are achieved. Additional responsibilities include recruiting, training, retaining and developing talented sales counselors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive and Achieve Sales Goals – Daily interaction with sales representatives to achieve sales goals that are set by senior leadership. Ensure all sales counselors are using Company’s Business Model, specifically our Structured Selling Process and digitized tracking tools such as C3. Troubleshoot solutions with Sales Representatives on difficult sales negotiations. Creatively work with Sales Representatives to find ways to drive their own traffic.

Sales Analysis & Processes – Work with Sales Representatives to collect and utilize competitor and market analysis to increase sales. Work to increase the Realtor Broker Outreach program. Work with all functional departments to achieve sales and overall business goals.

Performance Management – Assist (or lead depending on size and volume of the department) with recruiting, selection, training and retention of sales representatives. Provide proper feedback and coaching on sales scorecard metrics. Identify performance gaps and offer solutions to narrow the gap. Ensure all required training is complete, performance reviews are conducted and bench players are placed on active Development Plans.

CSI – Ensure 100% customer satisfaction through excellent execution of the KB Home business model. Ensure all CSI standards are followed. Work with sales representatives and customers to resolve any customer service related issues in a timely fashion. Ensure all prospects and existing customers are called on a regular basis.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Four Year College Degree preferred
  • Valid Real Estate License in specific states

Experience

  • 3+ years proven sales experience
  • Prior management experience preferred
  • Home building or related industry preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Action oriented, with the drive to push sales and marketing efforts to successful closure
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities including motivating teams, employee development, conflict management, and being results oriented
  • Ability to connect with people, and develop and maintain professional relationships
  • Understands market and industry trends
  • Proven ability of being customer centric by seeking solutions from the customer’s perspective
  • Strong experience in delivering high quality customer service programs. JDP experience a plus!
  • Strong verbal & written communication, with the ability to take complex concepts and communicate accurately and persuasively
  • Proven ability to lead and execute effective training sessions or conduct strong oral presentations
  • Strong ability to work within a team-setting, inclusive of other’s ideas, and a willingness to cooperate
  • Makes quick and accurate decisions based heavily on facts, data and/or metrics
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. C3 or JD Edwards database experience a plus!

WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule on a consistent basis, including evenings, weekend and holidays
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Local travel required 50% of time
  • Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to potential buyers and external brokers to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company
