Regional Maintenance Transformation Manager

The Regional Maintenance Transformation Manager is responsible to lead Maintenance Transformation activities at Bimbo Bakeries USA, Inc. (BBU) manufacturing facilities to improve equipment reliability.  Transformation activities will focus on three areas of maintenance (personnel, operating and management system).  The Manager Region Maintenance Support will lead the activities of the Transformation team engaged in assessing current state of maintenance and developing/executing action plans to close the identified gaps.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess maintenance processes and programs against corporate strategy and national plan to identify gaps that need to be addressed to achieve world class asset reliability in the following subjects:

    • Utilization of CMMS.

    • PM Planning, execution and executing.

    • Training and development Plans for Maintenance leaders and associates

    • KPI tracking/utilization

    • Spare Parts inventory control/management.

    • Root Cause Problem Solving

    • Ensure compliance with corporate strategy and other world class initiatives.

  • Lead development and implementation of National Initiatives as part of National Strategy.

  • Work with plant engineers to build and execute action plans to address gaps in maintenance program to achieve sustainable asset reliability

  • Teach, mentor, and coach bakery maintenance leaders to:

    • Utilize Root Cause Problem solving techniques

    • Analyze KPIs and use statistical analysis to improve department performance

    • Effectively plan work

    • Coach/develop maintenance associates

  • Develop content for BBU Maintenance playbook

    • Develop work standards and standardized procedures.

  • Willingness to travel 50 to 70% of the time.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.

  • 5 – 7 years of experience in industrial manufacturing.

  • Proven experience leading Maintenance Organization.

  • CMRP / CRL are a plus.

Key Behavioral Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge in spare parts and inventory management is a plus.
  • Familiar with the principles of lean manufacturing
  • Leadership skills to create collaborative relationships/teamwork
