Regional EHS Manager – RemoteResponsible for the implementation and coordination of EHS, DOT and PSM programs for the field sites. This position will provide expertise to the manufacturing and transportation field locations, while developing processes to comply with Company, Local, State and Federal requirements.
- Manager overall field EHS strategies, systems and programs, including regulatory compliance, environmental permitting, environmental sustainability, loss control, regulatory reporting, improvement projects, training and regulatory liaison work
- Provide strategic and tactical leadership of EHS systems to field EHS and plant leaders (e.g., PSM, DOT and Sustainability)
- Develop and provide tools for EHS leaders to develop hazard control programs
- Support and audit field EHS programs to ensure proper implementation and management of EHS internal management systems
- Support internal and external audit processes to ensure ongoing compliance at all facilities
- Act as a company liaison for all field dealings with government agencies (OSHA, DOT, etc.)
- Coordinate the development of environmental maintenance of documentation and records and plans and directs region wide industrial hygiene services
- Manage incident management process including accident reporting, corrective action, worker compensation claims, return to work program, and OSHA Recordkeeping (PSM). Assist in incident investigations with Plant EHS as requested and assure timely follow-up and assist plant management with EHS policy implementation
- Assesses new developments in the Environmental and PSM fields that may have application to the company’s operation and facilitate implementation of new processes when appropriate
- Guide and develop field EHS leaders. Provide technical guidance and serve as subject matter expert on functional topics
- Facilitate attainment of quantifiable EHS objectives in the field through leadership, feedback, systems and delegation
- Define and direct proactive field plans for EHS team in order to support the company’s EHS 5-year plan
- Maintain and develop relationships with professional peers, contractors, vendors, consultants, and federal/state/local governmental agencies. Agencies include EPA, OSHA, DOT, State, City, and County agencies. Ensures that the Company is in compliance with all federal, state, and local authorities
- Work with all levels of the organization to identify, prioritize and address all EHS and DOT related issues. Facilitate communication between corporate and individual locations

Technical Qualifications
- Four-year college degree in Environmental Management or in a related field or equivalent work experience required
- Minimum of 10 years EHS experience in a manufacturing environment (experience in a multi-plant environment desirable). Key areas of experience: program development, PSM, DOT, training development and delivery, audits
- Ability to manage multiple programs with conflicting priorities. Attention to detail. Possess excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills. Interact effectively with all levels of employees and management. Ability to influence people and process without having direct authority.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- 50% travel on an as needed basis when required
